Must admit I thought Balotelli's stats were better than they appear to be.

Still can't see BR buying a problem player like him. It would be like getting another Suarez without the world class talent...

Player A is Balotelli and Player B is Bony. Thought you guys would have put two and two together.

Fair enough Balotelli has only played in Serie A and the Premier League, whereas Bony has played for Sparta Prague in the Gambrinus liga and Vitesse in Eredivisie, Bony's stats in just the Premier League are still much better than Balotellis (again, considering the teams they've both played in):
Apps Goals
Balotelli 80 30
Bony 48 25

This is also only league apps and goals.
Balotelli came on as sub a lot for City - that would be classed as an App - Bony has always started for Swansea

As you've raised, its not just about the goals you've scored but also at what level you've scored them. I haven't got a problem with Bony, I'm sure he'll get us goals. And maybe we don't need someone who can play across the front 3 anymore. The more I think about it the more I think we'll alternate between a front 3 and a diamond.

I would imagine most of us would be relieved if we signed any of those mentioned.

I think it illustrates that had we completed Remy, that would have been that.

Yea, to be honest I'd be happy with any of them, rather than none, but out of the five, Balotelli would be fifth on my list.

Starting to think Bony would be the better option.

Not a marquee signing as such and fits the team ethic. Mario would be a challenge but if he got his head sorted Lfc may be a good place for him.

I think Eto'o would be 5th on mine - at least Balotelli is a young pair of legs. But I can honestly say I've not seen huge amounts of the other 3 playing so I'll cross my fingers and hope we get the one we're after...

The situation with Liverpool & Balotelli has moved on in the last 12 hours or so. An initial loan inquiry has led to talks with AC Milan.

James Pearce - Liverpool remain keen on Monaco’s Radamel Falcao and haven’t been put off by talk of a £12million loan fee

I would prefer him thanks smile

Seeing Falcao at Anfield would be something else. I honestly think it won't happen at all. Players who are destined for the Bernabeu don't come to Liverpool.
