I just love the fickleness of fans smile

A few pages back were stats showing how Balotelli was probably the worst of the options being considered...go back further and there are comments about him only being a "name" and not up to much...fast forward to him being signed and we get the YouTube clips and stats like he's the top scorer in Seria A since he joined....love it smile

May as well look on the positive side!

I have always quite liked the idea - especially at the price.

Not from me. I spoke about wanting him over a month ago. Glad it's happened

We are all the same -

TBH For mostfans its a sense of relief to get someone in with a goalscoring record. Then you figure him in for 16m not £25-£28m and you can see why it makes sense ....

If Cavani and Falcao were not going to happen, rumours are it was him or Eto - I would go Balotelli over Eto all day long....maybe not a few years ago but now I would.

That, really. I trust that Ayres and BR know what they're doing...

So we must all think as one?

There were a number of 'us' saying they'd be happy with Balo, I wasn't one of them! But if he's coming then we might as well get behind him!

Oh I agree, every fan wants to see their team buying players...was just a general comment about 'football fans'. One of the reasons I love the game.

He has never really set the world alight (apart from his bathroom) at any club he has been at. He has always only ever been sporadic. That and that generally the club he is at, at the time never really have a problem in selling him on. Mario... you've got to win me over dude.

I always liked the idea - but as you say whats the point of bhing? If it's going to happen we may as well cheer him on until the season's done.

I reckon 15 goals, 6 assists, 2 totting up bans and a red card.

Ok, if he gets 30 goals, 12 assists, despite 4 totting up bans and 2 red cards, I think we'll all be happy...

Great signing for Liverpool if it comes off, can see BR getting the best out of him.

Very hard to read stats...
Those stats can't be right. They have Lamela scoring 15 goals! He's a defender isn't he? I certainly don't remember him being anywhere near the opposition goal for Spurs?

Good luck with that. He won't be around in 5 seasons I expect hehe

A lad has just tweeted a pic of him meeting Balotelli at Liverpool airport (if Liverpool airport has yellow and green panels on the wall, then its kosher!).

Liverpool will pay 90 grand a week for Balotelli to play for them.

Man Utd will pay 100 grand a week for Nani to play for Sporting Lisbon.

Brendon Rodgers just doesn't want an easy life does he! I must say I am a little surprised by this signing but he is a gifted player when he wants to be and maybe BR just likes signing players that he knows will get banned!!
