wker.
I understand where you are coming from, but from a career perspective you can't argue that wasn't a good move at the time.

He only lasted 5 minutes there and now he's in the footballing paradise that is Turkey.

If he'd stayed and was part of our squad now, his career would be better off.

Didn't he get shafted by the club? IIRC he was promised a pay increase if he did well, he did we didn't

So the personal terms must be sorted then. He wouldn't be here otherwise.

Most successful teams have a 'risky' type player, think Cantona/ Keane! They may come with a little baggage but they can certainly win you games with a bit of brilliance, Balo is certainly a risk but BR is no fool, He will definately earn us points when it looks like were gonna lose or draw a game, He could prove to be one of our best signings of the year.

I'm thinking 4312 this season and practically a new team from what BR took over

Mignolet
Manquillio Lovren Sakho Moreno
Henderson Gerrard Lallana
Sterling
Sturridge Balotelli

That still leaves Skrtel, Toure, Johnson, Flanagan, Enrique, Allen, Can, Coutinho, Laser, Lambert and possibly Eto'o.

I'm presuming Agger, Coates, Lucas, Assaidi and Borini to be sold/loaned.

Some transformation.

Thankfully the days of 80s style static managers are behind us.

Shame Assaidi might still be here, no idea where he'll get a game. Never understood some people. Earn 30k a week and play football or earn a bit more and sit in the stands. Crazy decision not to choose to take a bit less and play every week. Most of us can only dream of having the opportunity.
'bodge' has certainly made you feel good about supporting Liverpool again - looking at our squad now to where we were 2 years ago is nothing short of incredible and he deserves maximum respect for getting LFC back on the world map.

Tallk is he does prefer Skrtel to Sakho - rumours are he is very uncomfortable with how quick he goes to ground...... Also Lovren has come out and said he is a LCB - and prefers staying there... I have a feeling Sakho wont get in unless Skrtel really starts under performing...
Markovic has suppose to have been immense in training, cant wait to see him .

I think I read he gets a lot of goals from outside the box - ideal for those hard to break down times that chuck everyone behind the ball.

I cannot disagree.
Can't believe that Coutinho isn't in there as first choice!
Will be interested to see what Can distribution is like. If it's any good Gerrard will be under serious pressure.

If Borini goes for anywhere near the quoted price the Borini/Balotelli swap is a real positive.

Well then we'll need to upgrade on Skrtel sometime soon. Beats having to go into every window needing 3 or 4 players. I'm looking forward to Laser and think he'll be eased in and there really isn't a need to rush him.

Going forward we'll need to buy a decent keeper, a centre back and a Gerrard type leader in the midfield. We are indeed in a much better position since we moved to a transfer committee.
