Can it sustain itself, if things continue as they are?
I hope it will implode.
I won't hold my breath though.
Cant see it imploding just getting bigger and bigger, European Super league maybe even a World series.I hope it will implode.
I won't hold my breath though.
Feel sorry for the lower divisions. Obviously I don't feel sorry for the Scottish league.

If that's true, it's utterly disgusting.
I'm rapidly falling out of love with top level football.
Have no interest in internationals and the EPL is fked thanks to city and Chelsea and now united.
I quite agree. I like the game but not the st that surrounds it.I'm rapidly falling out of love with top level football.

When they built the Centenary stand I bought tickets for £550 each and these lounge seats went back 5 rows in grey, now they go back 14 rows and cost £3k!
At the start of last season I thought this would be my last but I'm hanging on to see the new hospitality packages I may switch to when finished.

Falcao agrees to move to United after supposedly turning down Liverpool due to his 'desire' of playing for Real Madrid.
LOL. How the mighty have fallen.
why? they were willing to pay a veryhigh fee and wages for a loan deal, and we probably weren't.LOL. How the mighty have fallen.
To me this just illustrates they cannot attract tier 1 talent (neither can we) but they have deeper pockets to get around the problem
Torres
Suarez
Ballo
The llama
Some of you live on a different planet to me at times. Let's get this right...Jordan Henderson was the most highly rated young English player when we signed him despite RT said at the time, was told otherwise and has since proved. The Llama was the only English player worth buying after last season. Outside of the lfc English talent he was head and shoulders above everyone else.
Torres was the best striker in Europe when signed him. Suarez was top class rated. Questions were on his attitude, nothing changed. Balo...Wtf were some of you on about when the signing was on? Worries of goals? The bloody kid has scored everywhere he has played. The Italians regard him as the best they have, again it's just down to his attitude.
Lfc attract top class talent. We have had our fingers burnt paying loony money and we refuse to do it now, that is very obviously a club policy now. That limits how much we spend on single players not inability to attract. This weird fallacy has to stop.

Don't write Borini off. If he gets a chance for the Reds this season if and when one the main two get injured, he knows it's his last chance at a big club. Hopefully he grabs it with hands and finally realises his potential!
I have never been convinced by him though but you never know!

Dont really understand why anyone would be upset he hasn't gone, I dont see anyone coming in so keep him...4 is better than 3 I have never been convinced by him though but you never know!

It's madness, tickets are getting dearer, clubs are earning more and more and so are players whilst fans continue to be ripped off !
The increase in players wages bears no correlation with the increase in ticket prices. Utd have took a 25 million pound gamble. If it gets them back in the Champions League it'll be money well spent for them.I know some of us think we'd rather not spend money like this to gain success but unfortunately the truth most of the time is that you do. Top 4 means everything in the premier league. 3 clubs are prepared to spend whatever it takes. Chelsea and City will definitely be top 4. If their manager can get his act together Utd now have the players to compete for a top 4 place. For them last season outside the top 4 was an anomaly.
We'll be back to fighting it out for 4th at best if we aren't prepared to compete for the top tier players. We've signed a lot of potential and a maverick this window. And all said and done we've spent very little money. Of course I admire trying to compete at the top tier the way we are but I doubt it is sustainable.
I'd have loved to see Falcao in a Liverpool shirt, going back a handful of pages I know I'm not the only one.
Agree. Top 4 is everything and Man U are betting the farm to get back in. If they don't then it gets interesting but with the squad they have you have to think they're looking good.
Games between the top sides will be additionally important this year, consistent performance against the rest will be absolutely vital.
It's nice that it's more open but with the Top 2 places pencilled in before a ball has been kicked it becomes a matter of 5 or 6 teams competing for the other two spots.
I think Top 4 is more important this year than it was last in order to consolidate and lock other sides out of it. Becomes more of a longer term war of attrition.

Borini deal off, looks like his wage demands are way too high.

Just goes to show that lining your pockets is more important than actually playing the game, to footballers today.
Pair of wkers.
Lining your pockets is the aim of any form of employment. Anyone who thinks a footballer should be different to any other profession is deluded,Pair of wkers.
