Guillem Balague @GuillemBalague:
FCB tried its hardest to keep Víctor Valdés but he was desperate to leave for new challenge. Anfield beckons now. Perfect match player/club.

Not massively overwhelmed by Valdes. His loan makes the sale of Reina even more odd.

I wonder how much Valdes wages will be as a free agent.

Complete double standards on here with some players. If we'd tried to sell Johnson for example and he'd refused to go I'm sure there'd be outrage from some who support Borini.

As for the money not mattering, bks. Only a few pages ago there was outrage as Utd paying whatever it was for Falcao.

BR wanted rid of Borini. I'm with BR on this.

Mignolet needs pressure. Valdes is perfect.

Totally different -

Johnson we have Flannagan/Manquillo and Toure can play it if need be (which I doubt)

You really dont need 3 RB's in a premiership squad - it is better to have 4 FW's though.

If Borinin had gone and we had replacement this convo would not even be happening but everyone is missing the fact we didnt so our squad would be weaker .. surely everyone can see this ??

He's a free agent isn't he so it can't be a loan deal.

Reina pissed Rodgers off with his comments when he went to Napoli on loan so he was never going to be welcomed back with open arms.

Sye, so why did BR want rid of Borini. Surely we wouldn't be trying to sell a player that the manager wanted to keep?

Raja I am not saying he didnt - he did it was obvious but for me as a fan Id rather we have 4 than 3 - I would hate to think we got 2 injuries and were left with just lambert and thats it -

We have not decent youth lad anywhere near good enough to step up - & what is true is if you ask any Sunderland fan about Borini after having him for 1 year played his in right position they would have him upfront in a heartbeat - tells you something about the lad - if he had been quick to want to go if we wanted to keep him we would be slagging him off like mad - the lad wants to try fight for his place even though he has been told he aint first choice and as fans we going mad at that ? I dont get it -

Hi Dave,

Hospitality will not be receiving an away allocation for any of the away games in the champions league this season. You will need to contact the ticket office once the selling information is released for the away games in Europe but please be advised you will need to meet a certain criteria to qualify to be able to purchase these tickets.

Thanks

Louis

I honestly think the locals will sell quite easily, its not a perceived glam tie to them and we don't have any memorable history (they have forgotten we destroyed them in 2009) so I bet getting tickets in the right bar with the right barman will be ok. In with the Ultras ? do they still have them ?

Edit : hospitality tickets they are, so like ours, they won't be on general sale or saleable to members yet.
