Costa's work ethic is on a different level.
If we had Champions League football last season, he would have come to Liverpool for £21.8m! What a bargain that would have been. Instead we now have Balotelli who is probably going to be more frustrating to watch (as per Saturday) than he will excite.London424 said:
Oh how the mighty have fallen...
We haven't really been mighty since the 1980s - certainly not in 2005.If UTD kick on with their recent purchases that will leave everyone other than Utd, City and Chelsea facing an almost permanent scrap for fourth with the occasional blip like Liverpool last year.
I would say UTD are the only team who can compete with City and Chelsea in the spending stakes without a benefactor. I just hope we can play with last year's style and will take what comes from that.

Pretty poor that our first CL game in ages isn't a must have - but we do have a lot of games coming up. I am worried about Boro as I want a cup run / trip to Wembley and I can see a half arsed approach to it.
Alot of them are returns from Ludogorets. I agree with it being our first CL game in a while. I think some people will be put off with the £50+ ticket price to play a team nobody had ever heard of last month.
I read that Ludogorets will be playing with their third choice, 23 year old reserve keeper. Watch him have a blinder

Its a hard one to call as I don't really understand why Stirling wasn't in the squad and Sturridge is clearly missed but I did personally expect us to at least get something from this fixture but I suppose it is early days and the new signings need to gel together so onwards and upwards hopefully.
Eh? Sterling came on after 60 minutes.Edited by Adam B on Sunday 14th September 21:24

That page posted says 'general sale'.
They were all sold out months ago - they have returned a number of tickets and a few others (not a lot) have become available Like I and another mentioned probably to do with the cost £59 for main stand -
They will all go, most fan card members wont know they are on sale, I didnt till BlackST just told me, stupidly they dont email you to tell you .
My ticket was £48 for tomorrow night. Kop 205. http://propaganda.photoshelter.com/image/I0000qiMN...
Tickets are still for sale yes. Returns from Ludogorets fans and restricted seats and some tickets which I assume some season ticket holders have returned.

£59 is taking the piss though! People who travel to Anfield can't make mid weeks and people in the city think the price is ridiculous.
Modern day top flight football = businesses.

I'm all for fan ownership, hence the £18 at Bayern.
We've been out of the Champions League for a long time, I'm reluctant to bet anything important that we'll finish top 4 this season. I'm looking forward to tomorrow regardless of the price. It'll make up for several seasons of nothing but pain.
