He didn't want to join Sunderland. That's not the same as him wanting to stay is it?
Riiiight. What did he tell you he wanted when you spoke to him?
Right and you spoke to him when?
Well given 2 clubs offered and he turned them down to stay with Liverpool it does prove that he wanted to stay at Liverpool this season. Pretty fking simple.

You have no idea what he wants and I don't either but he's still here when he could have left - gives a bit more credence to my point than yours.
It doesn't prove that he wanted to stay here this season. How do you know he wasn't looking for a loan deal at the last minute or that he won't be off in January? The facts here are straight forward. He's an average player that had only average teams in for him.

Sorry to rain on your parade RT, but an interview he did not so long ago: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11669/9461....

You could say that he only wanted to move to a top club or that he was intent on staying only at Liverpool, either way we'll never know.

There were strong rumours he was also wanted by AC Milan, who are by no means just an average club.

I'm not trying to say that he'll ever be amazing, but it funny that the same people continue to under-estimate players!

Markus Babbel being interviewed on SS5 right now, ahead of the Bayern - Man City game. Good to hear from him again. What a good defender he was, cut short with weakness/tiredness syndrome he suffered for about a year.

Shame Fab didn't cling the header. He did well, last night when he came on and certainly did his best. However he didn't exactly bust the onion bag did he ? Glad he isn't as disliked as he was last week. Anyhow, onwards.

One of the best free transfers ever I reckon.

So why even talk to Sunderland and QPR? If he wanted to stay at Liverpool or go to a big club talking to those others was pointless then right?

How has he been under estimated? He's average. I've seen players give interviews many a time talking the club up before leaving. The only reason he'd have not gone to AC Milan is because either they weren't in for him or that they offered peanuts.

I'm hoping Borini starts on Tuesday night. His level.

Henderson - considered average, now look.
Carragher - considered past his best then fought back into the first team and was our best defender for the last 6 months of his career.
Flanagan - didn't want him anywhere near the first team then he played a major part in turning us into a top four team again.

Why not give Borini the benefit of the doubt until he's had a run in the team to get settled, rather than be quick to judge?

Because if RT throws enough st at every player, manager and exec he might get it right one day. After all a broken clock is right twice a day...
