Sign of champions that - playing badly and still winning! hehewink

Great subs from a talented manager today, totally re-energised the team when Coutinho and Allen came on.

I can only hope Balo played 90 minutes today so we can rest him on Weds.

What?

You've basically agreed with me, apart from saying you think we could have signed him. Well I never saw a quote from the player saying we were an viable option for him and FFP precluded it anyway.

Silly? Silly is talking about fking watches.
Give it up GG. They weren't all facts nor were they all facts that resulted in us not signing him or a player like him. You're intelligent enough to know what a fact is and isn't. We chose to gamble on Balotelli after we thought we'd got a deal on Remy. This is our flawed transfer policy.

I'll take the 3 very fortunate points today and keep my fingers crossed that we are there are there about for a top 4 place in the summer. Our defence is shocking and Balotelli and Lambert are very very poor replacement striker signings.

And if BR didn't want people to comment on his shiny new watch he shouldn't have worn it to the game. We'll disagree on him until he's either sacked or he wins something. I think he's all show and no substance and I'll use his teeth, New wife, portrait of himself on the wall and shiny new watch to make my point. I'd be overjoyed to be proven wrong.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Very promising, looks like we might be champions at the end of this season. They say the champions are the ones who get the 3 points after playing badly, biggrin

Righto, gonna put on my flack jacket here.... For both Og's the final pass was for Ballo waiting to tap the ball into an empty net. Just saying....small margins !!!
I heard for the first OG he wasn't even aware that it was coming towards him?

I don't think we deserved a point for that. Happy with the 3 but my god, Balotelli really is shocking. The lack of runs could be forgiven if he could finish but two easy chances and missed them both left me screaming at the tv to bring on Borini!

RT, on the subject of Falcao - do you really think it was possible given that his loan fee was only £6m less than what we paid for the entire transfer fee for Balo - and Balo is on, £80-90k a week and Falcao is on more than 3x that. Also taking into account that we are being looked at for FFP - was it really a possible transfer?

You said Man UTD splashed the cash and bought Falcao. They did nothing of the sort. It's a loan. And you've been backtracking ever since. We would/could never pay those wages. He never gave any indication that he would come here. FFP are looking into us. All facts.

And you're still talking about watches?!? rofl

One word.

Sheath.

I'm done with you today. Apologies to all the other posters, but he gets on my tits. Will try and show the restraint the rest of you do in future.

FFP wouldn't have been a problem with signing a Falcao or Reus if we hadn't wasted so many millions on potential

We simply won't pay 300k a week to anyone.

Never have. Never will.

And I'm glad too. Its obscene.

And what about strength in depth? I bet we're paying 5 of our summer transfers wages with what would have had to pay Falcao.

Christ u were dire. Without the terrible defending from QPR in the last few minutes the atmosphere in here would be murderous.

Well Suarez was on not far off his wages (50k a week difference?).

Sye has posted chapter and verse that FFP isn't an issue. Is he wrong?

So I think if you'd tried before Utd came in you could have got him.

Well, more one of sad resignation I'd think. All that money spent, and so little to show for it.

Suarez was on £150k up until this summer, when I believe he was going to go up to £200k. So £65k difference, or a-whole-nother players wages. I believe that £265k that Falcao is on is just his basic too, so he could get more in bonuses!

I'm not saying it would have been cheap. You asked if it was possible. I think you could have afforded it, if you wanted to, and if you'd gone before Utd showed interest he would have come.

Selling Suarez and not buying Balotelli gets you his salary covered. (I'm guessing both those players have/had bonuses too)

All guesses though.
