TBH he's an easy target with the way looks & conducts himself.
You fella's on here are way too sensitive, I think i'd be more worried if he wasn't getting into positions to score rather than missing a few sitters , He'll come good he just needs a bit of time.
Completely agree with this post from BCM!!! You fella's on here are way too sensitive, I think i'd be more worried if he wasn't getting into positions to score rather than missing a few sitters , He'll come good he just needs a bit of time.

So Wednesday. Any chance that both the sense of occassion and the style of play of football Real play will allow Liverpool to "rediscover" our high pressing game and against all current odds, actually beat Madrid playing some of high tempo passing we did last season?
Probably not but we live in hope...DuncanM said:

I need convincing but like he has already said and we have already seen he is not the type of forward who likes to play by himself - but why is that? I imagine as his game is not one thats based on being a workhorse - for me he is the wrong player for the way we set up - not his fault - we signed him as he was a name for cheap For Real I really would bring in Borini - we cannot carry anyone on Wed who is not willing to run till they drop
Liverpool usually play up for Euro home fixtures and league form doesn't really apply. I am never less than optimistic when we play at Anfield remembering in 2007 when we could lose 0 - 1 to Barcelona and still qualify, they threw everything at us (and this was a crappy squad) but we held firm to restrict them to one goal.
I have faith for weds

If he'd have tapped those in we'd have a new Kop hero. Small margins.

Does anyone remember when we signed Peter Crouch? Wasn't it 19 games before he scored? He didn't get dropped - it was keeping faith and giving him the confidence.
It seems that Mario is being treated to similar softly softly, encouraging treatment.
Frankly this molly coddling of overpaid, pampered, arrogant tossbags is one of the things that really pisses me off about modern football and if you can't take being dropped or shouted at while picking up more in a week than I earn in a few years that shouldn't be anyone's problem but your own.
But I'm just a fan, what do I know.

I don’t know, I hope one day to work in Spain, I’ve studied Spanish, but I need to improve. I’ll probably improve when I work in the country one day. For most people, when they travel to a country their language becomes better. I speak to the Spanish players that we have in Spanish. I’m only 41 which is very young and there are lots of things I want to achieve here at Liverpool, its an incredible club and I hope to be managing here for another 20 odd years. One day hopefully it can take me to Spain and I can experience a wonderful country, culture and as I said, some wonderful football club.
For a second I thought I was reading a quote from Pepe Reina...I don’t know, I hope one day to work in Spain, I’ve studied Spanish, but I need to improve. Also one thing of note - Mignolet ! his last 2 performances have been top draw, saves when needed, punches when needed - his level has without doubt stepped up.
He was my MOTM until Cout played "that" pass to RaheemOdd, in a way with Balo being so poor it's taking some of the pressure off the defence and goalkeeper.
Its always going to be difficult with a forward who doesn't run a great deal, we had the same issues at Utd with Berbatov. Berba made up for it to a degree with his goals but Mario isnt backing up with them at the moment.
Who knows whether he will come good or you have bought a dud, only time will tell it is still VERY early in the season to be judging him as a failure.

I still feel he is to take his fair share of blame for the 2nd goal conceded yesterday - he was beaten far too easily at the near post. m3sye said:

Must be due to the recent rumours of Valdes arriving although by all accounts that has now been quashed by BR. Still not seeing leadership qualities required from a top class goalkeeper - he should be commanding that defence and instilling confidence. Too me, he still looks scared and flaps about too much. Coutinho was fantastic when he came on - looks like dropping him is giving him the kick up the ass he needed - he did a pass identical to that for Brazil midweek toohttp://talksport.com/football/exclusive-balotelli-...
So , we've called back Brad Smith from Swindon. Where's Moreno ??
"Smith’s recall, combined with Moreno not being in the squad against QPR and being dropped from the Spain under-21s last week for “technical reasons”, according to boss Albert Celades, will lead to speculation surrounding the reasons for such"
