Surely can do more than Mario ? gives us a strong 2 in front of back 4 and 3 creative players in front.

Really? Seriously though, I fully expect Baoltelli to be dropped on Weds night but probably for Borini.

Sterling? Didn't he play up front for the U21's? I can't remember the last time Gerrard scored an outfield goal that wasn't from a dead ball situation. The simple matter of fact is that Gerrard doesn't have pace and as a front man, that is a vital ingredient.

I really dont think it is at all, hold the ball and move into space - TBH the pace will Come from Coutinho

What's that virtual striker formation? I mean if we have a striker doing nowt why not add an extra midfielder and drop him?

Didn't Jose play without a striker and strengthened the midfield ? , that's what I meant , I really can't see Balo getting dropped but neither does he deserve to play however he is a big game player - who would be a manager
