Think you know what I meant. When he's sacked, and I have no doubt that he will be, he'll end up at a team like Newcastle or Villa.

Van Gaal.....oh wait he spent millions and we sit above.
Moyes is free....
Jose but he would be mad to leave Chelski
Struggling to think of an improvement that is either available or better.

Gets really tedious, we have lost one of the best players in the world & our other main sriker is injured and has been for some time, plus we have lots of new faces. What did we really expect? People seem to have been swept away by last season where we massively over achived, when really our goal was to finish top four. I personally think we will have a great team soon, yes our defence is shambolic, but that can be improved, aside from that I think we have a really exciting midfield with depth now that will only get better, and we need another stiker (or two) to really get going. The team is young and will learn, the manager is still young and will learn.

So bored of the I want it and I want it NOW NOW NOW crap, stability and development is what the club needs, not knee jerk sack the manager after being beaten by the reigning CL holders rolleyes

We are in a strange position after last season
We had the best player in the world play for us in 2013/14.
Now we don't have him and our second best player is injured.
Plus we spent £120m on players who arguably haven't improved the first 11.

Dunno what is expected of the season but if we beat Basel at home and Ludo away we go through.
Both aren't pushovers though.

Real Madrid, best team i'll ever see at Anfield.

Good effort. Madrid really were sublime in the first half. It was fortunate that Bale was injured.

Howevever, Balotelli was a disgrace. Exchanging shirts at half time & walking into the Liverpool dressing room wearing it.

No wonder he didn't make the second half. What chance he'll be on his way in January? I wouldn't want him in a team that I supported.

Unbelievable.

Lallana will be a superb player for us I am sure, he has flashes of brilliance and takes the game to the opponents, so can't knock his signing. Lambert was a snip for a quality striker, can't understand why we are not playing him more. Balo looks to be a waste of money but we will see, needs dropping for a month and thrashing around the training area, never seen such a lazy striker, reminds me of Berbatov but without the quality.

As said, our main problem at the moment is that we have nothing to offer our midfield to pass to, totally static, no movement and no runners, no wonder we are not scoring.

I disagree with that bit. You've yet to see the finished Chelsea. smile

But otherwise, I think you've pretty much got it.

It'll come, but it'll take time.

A great club will become great again.

Our manager is way out of his depth
Agree he is and it shows up very much in Europe even more so but in fairness to him he has very little experience(I cant believe I am sticking up for him) but when you look at our current form and results this season it is pretty shameful for sure.

Let's all Be honest here. What were we really expecting? I'd have taken 3-0 after 40 mins.
Mario, yes he has been poor but seriously what sort of a supply is he getting? A striker needs people creating chances for him. A well beaten team, an absolute porous defence, astoundingly shockingly bad, yet the striker gets most of the bad press for not scoring when in reality he is lucky to get an odd kick.
I'm not for one claiming he is the saviour, but he or be it Lambert or Borini really do not have a hope of making a decent impact without some chances to go on.
Ps this is an excellent Madrid team, one I can't see being beaten in this competition.

It's comical that we keep blaming our poor performances on Balotelli and the losing of Suarez. What part of that is responsible for teams scoring goals against us with ease every game?

Today BR had on the pitch his 1st choice back 5 and arguably another 5 1st choice players. Yet we saw on the bench our 2 most expensive signings of the summer and a refusal by the manager to bring on a replacement striker when 3 down.

We've bought badly, and God only knows what Lambert and Borini are thinking. Sure Balotelli will not start again as a lone striker but this won't fix a defence that can't stop conceding goals or a midfield that lacks cohesion and struggles to create chances.

He does not make any space for himself, or hold the ball up, or run in behind, or chase down defenders/ lost causes etc. You have to help yourself before you complain you have no service, everyone has picked up on his total lack of effort. If he ran himself ragged for 60 mins but didn't score he would be lauded for his efforts. That said, we need to play someone alongside him as it is proven that a lone stiker role isn't effective at all.

Agreed on the defence, it needs serious work, and quickly. However I think our midfield is strong, but due to no forward option making space/ runs etc, then it is very hard to put an attack together. Lambert and Borini need to start at the weekend, simple as.

Epom I don't know of you go to games to watch Mario or not but I do and I'm telling you he is a joke! His movement "when" it happens is so telescopic I could mark him! Point behind the CB and expect the midfield player bend it I'm and out of 3 players! We really got at them today for 20 mins and the crowd felt it, never heard so loud in a long long time but everything we offered from a very creative coutinho and sterling broke down when they looked up and saw Mario stood in his usual position by a CB !! Benzeme and Ronaldo's movement was a joy to watch but also was the work they put it without the ball at there feet!

Going Into this season with Balo was a risk as said by BR! Then to have 2 other forwards he does not trust at all was a big mistake !
Markovic I really can't see making it! He came with a rep as being really fast but yet to see it! We still need 2 defenders, DM and FW
Shocked Coutinho came off today he was the one player I was watching in red and thinking he wouldn't look out of place in white

Mention for Isco too, first time really seen him, he is class

But like ST said, this Real team are something very special ! I just wish we had a striker when we played them not a lump
