Only watched the first 10 mins and I could tell what type of game it was going to be so I didn't bother watching anymore.

Just how many corners have we had today and done absolutely nothing (not even had a sniff at goal)? So frustrating to watch.

I was expecting a 0-4 or 1-4 so not overly surprised.

Can Mario star again the way he is playing right now? I think not.

Predictions for Hull, 2-2?
Woah woah woah woah woah there, don't get ahead of yourself! There's no way you'll score two goals against us hehe

Mario can't do a thing right!

He should have scored 2 or 3 today.

Looked better with 2 up there.
God knows why Rodgers thinks it is ok just starting 1 up top.
On to El Clasico.

Especially against our lot, who lets be honest, are only ever going to be mid-low table at best. And you were at home.....

Le Tissier slating Mario saying not trying after all that's gone before, how st does he have to be to get dropped? I hope Bren experiments on Tuesday - no excuse not to.

Bren looks haunted on sky post match interview - he is also deluded that we were unlucky

You have to also ask where the hell is Borini? Not that he is the answer to our problems but you Brendan Rodgers bought him for big money, why is he not even on the bench? He should have started up front with Mario.

Perhaps he is still busy protecting the man and the player that he is today.

A famous draw. It was important when playing a dynamic and dangerous team like Hull at home that we pack the midfield and play with one up front. Joe Allen was outstanding and did more than enough to keep Coutinho out of the starting line up.

What an astute signing mario was. Shame Lambert came on to play alongside him. It's not Mario's fault that he missed those chances. Feel for BR, if of he had more time on the training pitch.

I think the second half showed that we have to play Lambert up top as the second striker, whether the first is Balo, Borini, Sturridge or even Sterling!

I thought Balo was a slight improvement on what he has been, but still slowing down our attacks, not great when holding the ball up and also poor when (not) making runs!

Odds of him being put up for sale come 1st January? Must be short. Each way?

Joking aside I think Steve Bruce has put a hell of a team together up there.

At least West Ham have kept us within 3 points of City, that is the only positive regarding today to be honest. The football we're currently playing is dire.

Brendan may be doing a few things wrong but he's not the one on the pitch, the players just don't seem up for it, I've seen one game this season where we've preseed and countered quickly and that was against Spurs. Every other match has been piss poor!

BR picks the team. He's continuing to play Mario up front on his own, playing Gerrard every game as a 5th defender and at every opportunity putting Allen on the pitch, today ahead of Coutinho.

We all know we need to play with 2 upfront whilst Sturridge is out. That Coutinho, Sterling, Lallana and Henderson are the 4 should start in midfield.

What's poor is that too many players we've bought do not improve on our starting 11. Arguably only Lallana and Moreno.

Hopefully a Eureka moment for Rodgers, the last 30 minutes we played very well, the pace and swagger was back.
Balotelli looked a different player with Lambert on the pitch and Coutinho had movement and options ahead of him. Good movement and pace all over the pitch and for the first time at Anfield this season the entertainment was back. Emre Can was excellent and we were unlucky not to take the points. Ref had a stinker, how with all those stoppages did the officials arrive at only 4 minutes extra time?

Manquillo is better than Johnson (on current form) and I'd say Can is better than Lucas (again on current form).

You could also argue that Lambert is an improvement on our third choice striker last season...

One last positive from todays game, Gerrard seemed to be playing a more forward role and it was great to see him get some shots away. One of the remarks I made after Wednesdays game was that Gerrard never shoots any more, not least from the edge of the area. Good to see him reverting to what he does best.
