Ticket price protest was good to see. The "Supporters NOT Customers" banner summed it up well.

A lot of people on this forum where saying sign up Bony, in the summer. Fortunately, Rodgers knows better.

Joking aside I think Steve Bruce has put a hell of a team together up there.
I agree, I don't think that we will be fighting to stay up on the last day of the season which will be nice.

I did think you'd beat us though. someone needs to start making better decisions!

BR picks the team. He's continuing to play Mario up front on his own, playing Gerrard every game as a 5th defender and at every opportunity putting Allen on the pitch, today ahead of Coutinho.

We all know we need to play with 2 upfront whilst Sturridge is out. That Coutinho, Sterling, Lallana and Henderson are the 4 should start in midfield.

What's poor is that too many players we've bought do not improve on our starting 11. Arguably only Lallana and Moreno.
Manquillo is better than Johnson (on current form) and I'd say Can is better than Lucas (again on current form).

You could also argue that Lambert is an improvement on our third choice striker last season...

One last positive from todays game, Gerrard seemed to be playing a more forward role and it was great to see him get some shots away. One of the remarks I made after Wednesdays game was that Gerrard never shoots any more, not least from the edge of the area. Good to see him reverting to what he does best.
I was talking about our starting 11. Manquillo and Lambert of course improve our squad, if every player from last season was fit they'd not get a look in imo. Lambert isn't dynamic enough to play across the front 3 and Manquillo would be behind Flanagan and possibly Johnson. Its also very obvious what to do with Gerrard. BR just hasn't the bottle to do this.

It is also very quickly becoming clear that Cann is not a defensive midfielder. Seems to have the energy of Henderson. The only type of 1st 11 he'd ever get in that make the most of our players is a 4231 playing alongside Henderson as one of the 2 midfielders. Very raw but lots of energy. Allen and Lucas need to go for a proper defensive midfielder imo.

If Sturridge's return coincides with a dramatic improvement in form - which is likely - his stock will rise surely?

He must be watching from the sidelines thinking he's the only LFC player who can shoot, and he would be right at the moment?

I'd make every player do extra shooting practice after training at LFC because the finishing has been woeful - and not just Balotelli!

What I would do for that to happen! biggrin although at the moment I would just be happy with a change of manager and a couple of decent strikers and a whole new defence...so I don't want for much!

A famous draw. It was important when playing a dynamic and dangerous team like Hull at home that we pack the midfield and play with one up front. Joe Allen was outstanding and did more than enough to keep Coutinho out of the starting line up.

What an astute signing mario was. Shame Lambert came on to play alongside him. It's not Mario's fault that he missed those chances. Feel for BR, if of he had more time on the training pitch.

I only really said it tongue in cheek and to be fair I cant think of anyone else to replace BR anyway and on a plus side he is young and still developing/learning so hopefully he might win us something eventually all being well.

I thought it yesterday and a friend mentioned it today, but a cheeky bid for Berahino in January?
