Rooney...complete waste of a player on the pitch
He is a total waste of space, why make him captain when on form and previous England performances he should be nowhere near making the squad?

Marketing.

Maybe if England continue to play like Scotland in disguise, the major sponsors who have marketing campaigns linked in to Mr Potato-Head will ps off and we can drop the obnoxious granny shagger.

I make no pretence of liking the bloke, especially in an England shirt. Has never really done it for his national team and his comments in South Africa about loyal supporters, when some of those people had taken out second mortgages to watch him play like a Sunday morning, pub team builder were a disgrace.

Should never been allowed to wear an England shirt after that but successive England managers (or is it marketing men?) seem to think that one day he'll help us win a major trophy. Never going to happen.

If you were going to have a proper clear out Roy, pop him in the skip too. smile

The aftermarth of the World Cup and this is the starting line-up we have against Norway

Joe Hart,
Stones, Phil Jones, Gary Cahill, Leighton Baines,
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jack Wilshere, Jordan Henderson,
Raheem Sterling, Daniel Sturridge, Wayne Rooney.

Doesn't exactly fill you with confidence.
To be fair, it's not too bad imo. Who else is there?

I would only really have questions about Jones (just no), Rooney (not done anything of note in an England shirt for years) and possibly Wilshere (yet to convince me and needs to stay on his feet). Oh, and Stones is a punt but I understand that.
That's the issue....really see the limited depth of talent at England's disposal.

Did somebody really say Nathan Dyer? laugh

We are playing a bunch of no hopers and we are struggling. Rooney just one big waste of space.

I'm not bothering to watch the match, and by the sounds of it I'm not missing a great deal either. Is Rooney really playing that poorly?

No worse than others really, but he's on £350k a week according to the Daily Mail, he's the headline grabbing player, new captain, not rated by fans of other clubs, etc.

Do they have stewards to protect them?
No they don't, I was on the row infront of them for a quali game a few seasons ago, Belgium I think for the last Euros.

They were always on the back row of the 1st tier in the West stand, not as bad as it sounds being near them, you're standing for a start as you're at the back and they don't play all game, only problem I found was their repertoire had about 4 songs in it.

They need more songs, but when they get going the crowd around responds, every so often someone will turn back to them and shout to them to play something, they don't all play every song either.

I don't know where they are now as the seating has changed since last season and the home end seems to be the East stand, west stand now is family.

Well the record books will show Rooney scored... But thats about it.

Why does he offer a kiss to heavens after scoring for England? He's done it before.

Has he found religion?

I'm glad Milner (Mr Sub) and Fabian Delph are now on. sleep

Has Milner actually played in any of Man City's games as yet?

You forgot to add some kind of insult to Rooney or call him st.

Milner's awesome.

Guess that's the only way he might score nowadays...well that or when we play against San Marino.
