I don't normally watch Footy, but I thought that was a great England performance
Decent but not great, that's going completely overboard!

I'm fking gobsmacked!

Especially by Wellbeck, he actually played what can only be described as well.

Where did that come from?

Still, you have to say well done. Won't last though... wink

Looked decent all night Wellbeck, never stopped trying.

Shows what moving to a big club can do for your confidence.

I don't subscribe to the players are crap theory. Name two of the Greek players who won Euro 2004.
Karagonis the Fulham midfielder and the guy up front that scored the winner Charisteas I think that's how you spell it.

Their striker just tackled himself in the England box. This looks like more of a fix than Raikonnen going off at the chicane yesterday (twice). HK betting syndicate?
Rosberg!
Duh, yep.

Still, that's 24 - er, 3 - points

Thought Delphi was really good after a bit of a frantic first 10 minutes...happy to see him in there again, and prob should have won a pen.

I thought he was awful, as was Rooney, Horrendouson, Baines, Wilshire & Stones. But the rest were ok, a decent overall performance and a good win.

Switzerland were v. poor. First game under a new manager and I can't see him lasting long.

Agreed. The worse a player he becomes, the more eloquent he is. I preferred him in 2004 when he was a world beater who couldn't string a sentence together.

Typical. Welbeck joins a rival and then remembers where the net is.
Arsenal Utd should bid for him.

Pretty decent victory from England, and also a pretty decent performance from Hodgons that he's able to select a pretty decent squad from the Premier Mercenary Leaque....

England always do well in low-pressure games. Friendlies, early campaigns, etc. But at the first sign of a high-pressure game, England always crumble (e.g. World Cup finals).

Switzerland were a horror show tonight. Weak defending and terrible finishing. Easy to beat.

England will qualify easily for the Euros, but as soon as they come up against quality opposition in the finals (e.g. Germany), England will almost certainly get knocked out. Only consolation is that Scotland are an even worse side and will be lucky to even qualify wink

A lot of us United fans have been saying all along that Wellbeck is not the finished article.
He fast, strong great work attitude but makes the wrong decision when he has too much time in front of goal.

He's very young and still learning and I think the goal scoring problem will sort itself out.
He's a very honest player and I think Arsenal fans will see the same as us but will benefit from his development.
Sort his problem out and he will be better than Sheerer.

PS quite drunk, didn't see the game etc ( currently watching San Diego v Arizona) but Arsenal haven't wasted their money.

It's the errr long pauses, they must give him time to read the card correctly.

overall a decent performance, and away win surely means a good performance all things considered.

yes I thought welbeck and stirling had decent games although there was far too much lateral and backward passing, the middle of the diamond was absent too many times.

wilshere spent too much time marking the opposition - he has quality but its too sparse in its appearance, and the game didn't really ever have any fluidity.

Stones has to improve his distribution - particularly the last 15 minutes he was also out of position.

Rooney tried hard but it didn't quite fall for him.

I thought Cahill was man of the match by a country mile and baines put in a decent shift. Delph was a bit of a revelation at times, after a dodgy start. his pace on the ball will give defenders something to think about.

all in 7/10
