Listening to this on Radio 5 live and Alan Green and Danny Mills are just like your moaning older relations. They love to surf a wave of negativity and I think they feed off each other and make its worse. John Murray and Jimmy Armfield are far better. You actually here something about the game rather than just moaning.
Maybe they are watching , because this game is pretty awful.
Nope it's been a decent game for a change.

Shame Downing isn't playing, on the form he's in he'd have worked those crosses in far better.

The thing is they are supposed to be commentating on what's going on on the pitch, something pretty important when you cannot see the action, most of their comments should be for after the game in the analysis. They get too carried away putting the hammer in at each point. We don't need to hear that during the game, we need description. They spend so long on their thoughts they miss some action.

John Murray and others do a far better job at what they are being paid for, commentating for listeners to see, via the ears, what is going on.

Very true. Some commentators have forgotten their role is to comment on the match and not drone randomly on about nothing.

Well don Roy clap..Makes you wonder what he could have achieved at Liverpool given the time & support.

Was there a football match on tonight? I was too busy enjoying doing other things with my time.
I think there is. But I was too distracted by the sudden discovery that I have a different brand of lightbulb in one of the holders on my stairs
I need to wash my hair (I'm bald)
Well at least I had a good 60 minutes and the post match analysis to finish my task of refitting them alphabetically by manufacturer. Anyone know when the next qualifier is so I can start my survey of how many different types of streetlamps there are on my road?

Lots of negativity on here but I thought it was a reasonably good game. Not fantastic but if a 3:1 win in a qualifier and an unbeaten run of five games isn't enough then frankly people are better off washing their hair or keeping that appointment to clean the toilet. biglaugh

Not much would be my thoughts given his best ever results were 25 years ago

It improved in the second half, only after Henderson (why he gets picked for England is beyond me) scored an own goal.

It's not the result that's the problem. Its the fact the team look like they could never win anything when they eventually come up against decent opposition in a tournament knock out phase. The management and players are terrible when compared to a first class team and with this management show zero signs of improving given more time.
