Hoddle is nuts. Remember why he got sacked the first time round ?
This is the key point. I'm not aware any of the original reasons for sacking him have gone away.

Who cares?

It's finally time for us all to give up on England. The players don't care. They also, weirdly, bottle it at every opportunity.

I have been saying for years that it is a waste of time watching England, and we should all finally just accept that it really is just masochism.

There is one English manager that could actually put a team together that could win, Mark Warburton.
Paws aff. He's already got the best job in football, this time next year he'll he in Europe with us, why would he want the England job?

I'm starting to agree.

No one from the FA down seems to give a toss. When we have "no expert" Chief Execs selecting the next manager, you know exactly where the problems start. And they seem to gain momentum through the managers and players.

We need people who understand the game making the key decisions. And it needs totally different pay structures that reward success rather than abject failure.

Yep, whoever takes over is just setting themselves up to be the next scapegoat. Hodgson had a 'mare, but so did every manager since Euro 96 (which has to be considered a success for us frown).

That's a 20 year period, that included the so called 'golden generation'.

Football in this country needs sorting out from grassroots level, school programs etc. We don't produce particularly good footballers.

Sorry chaps, but you'll not get a competitive England side until someone sorts out the Premier League.

Big task, work of decades perhaps, but the rot starts at the top and it is driven by lucre. So you'll not be getting it working anytime soon...

Back on topic, who are the 'teamwork' genius' that can mould a disparate group of multi-millionaires into a cohesive band of brothers? Get them to work on task for 90 minutes. And be fit. With two footed ability.

Bilic for me all day...knows the Prem inside out, young, good playing style, knows the game, speak sense, passionate about winning

Picking English will mean years more of crap,,, England rugby proves it doesn't have to be an English person

Rugby have also proved its the tactics and approach, not the players.

I know I'm a bit late to the party, but I'm not buying this bullst that they all worked as hard as they could. Not one of those players, aside from Rashford, was anywhere near the level they produced week in week out in the premier league. Actually I can't include Wilshere in that because the hasn't kicked a ball all season!!! There is something fundamentally wrong with our national side. This may well start from the top, but it is also certainly a problem with the players we pick. I think some of the problem is there aren't many winners out there. How many of those players are used to winning things? How many of those players regularly compete in the knockout stages (with success) in the Champions league?

If we don't have winners and big game players, which we don't, then we need to adjust our style accordingly and pick hard working battling players and play the style that a certain midlands club played this season and comfortably won our league!!!

Unfortunately not leaving West Ham.

I really don't get the comments that some people make about no talent blah blah. It's rubbish. We watch these players week in and week out, they aren't rubbish by any stretch of the imagination.

What they are is poorly coached at the national level. No system, no tactics, no clue about how to set up a team and when the media bigs up the latest flavour of the month the manager folds and shoe horns him in somwhere and throws everything else off.

Look at Italy. They've come into this tournament with people saying it's the weakest team in 50 years! We've all watched Pelle play this season, would (m)any have him in your club side ahead of Kane, Vardy or Sturridge? What about Giaccherini who was at Sunderland...Sunderland, and was complete rubbish.

Until they get someone in that can properly coach and set up a team with a specific way of doing things they will carry on down this road.

At least have the balls to set a team up in a certain way and play a certain formation and live or die by it.
