He's got a bit of a chequered history being involved in financial 'arrangements' that he didn't have 'full knowledge' about.
That's him finished. His reputation destroyed. The FA being made to look tw*ts for selecting him. And Rooney having to play where he's told again.
Yeah, this isn't new Big Sam territory, but it's also not peak Allerdyce, infact I think it's clutching at straw's on Telegraph's part. That's him finished. His reputation destroyed. The FA being made to look tw*ts for selecting him. And Rooney having to play where he's told again.
I'd love to know what players Mark Curtis looks after, I bet there's a correlation there

Methinks someone at the Telegraph doesn't want him as manager.
Unless there is something else cooking in the pot, he'll stay. I think he did just enough to cover his arse & the FA will look like even bigger tts if they get rid of him now.
But yet again when it comes to the English football team, its a total fking farce.
I think its nothing for him to worry about.
Nothing any one of us wouldn't do in his position, try to make easy money from a trip and a few speeches. Clearly knows where the line is and didn't cross it. In fact, clearly pointed out the line and refused to talk about crossing it.
Bit embarrassing that they've printed it really.
And I don't like the guy.

If I was being paid millions a year I think my focus would be on doing the job (especially when there's been a history of under-performance by predecessors which needs reversing); easy money from speeches and the like could wait until after I'd left the position. The sort of thing he's been doing is straying close to the line and you can only assume he's done it due to a mix of poor judgement and greed (neither of which are great qualities for the manager of the National team).desolate said:
Think he did Andy Carroll.
I reckon Allerdyce can ride it out unless the Telegraph's got something worse up their sleeve.
The old allegation at West Ham by Ravel Morrison that Kevin Nolan tried to get everyone under Curtis and that if they weren't they wouldn't play was telling.I reckon Allerdyce can ride it out unless the Telegraph's got something worse up their sleeve.

He (Morrison) had opportunities at WH - some he took, others he fked up; don't recall anyone else making the same allegation at the time & we had a relatively large squad with quite a few younger players. Pity as I enjoyed watching him play. More of a shame for his career though as that doesn't appear to have gone anywhere since.

Not sure that Morrisson is a trusted source but it's a common tactic for an agent to get an established pro spreading the word.
There is a website somewhere that shows every player's agent. Certainly explains a lot of transfers!
All Morrison did was to sound off about it and blackball himself from most of the clubs in England. There is a website somewhere that shows every player's agent. Certainly explains a lot of transfers!
So theoretically you've got a bunch of investors investing in an sports agency who quietly pay a manager or senior player to favour agencies clients.
In return the sports agency get income from players contracts (that go to the agents).
No wonder the speakers fee's are so inflated for PL managers :P
that's my tinfoil anyway, who put out the tinfoil earlier about Sponsor's picking the England team?

With the money that can be earned legitimately in the game I should be surprised that people in the upper echelons are even remotely tempted.
But I'm not!
I think the FA are going to hear what he's got to say - then it's 'bus fare home.
