There have been moments in this match where Glenda and Tilsley actually can't think of anything of any interest to say. I say moments, there has been a couple actual minutes of totally 'dead air'.

Absolute dross !! Please can we have some route 1 entertainment instead of this passing for passing sake stuff. When a team is 1 nil down in the cup with 5 minutes left they usually keep chucking it in the mixer and usually get the odd late chance.. why not do that from the start, it's got to be more entertaining than that

As you say, the bright spot is we won't have to worry about going beyond the group stage again, as we'll get taken apart.
Then they'll be another media led outrage, and the FA will sack Southgate, and then appoint yet another useless 'suit n tie' merchant, and we'll go through it all again for Euro 2020, only to fail miserably again, for another useless 'suit n tie' merchant to be appointed......and rinse and repeat.
The Pundits said it right, apart from Germany in a Friendly when we played pretty good its all been very poor.
I get the whole its difficult to break teams down who put 11 behind the ball but this has just been bloody awful and it has been since the start of this qualification campaign. Gareth is not the man to take England forward he has had a poor group and barely ground out results, England should be winning these games comfortably with the exception of the Slovakia and Scotland games.
There was only 1 man who should have got the England job and that was Roberto Martinez as that man does not know how to defend or be cautious in his style of play no matter what team he was managing. Only then would we see how good England are going forward. Atleast we couldn't moan about being cautious or boring.
Oh wait, he is destroying teams with Belgium.
