FIfa will cite lack of evidence, and do nothing.
Lack of evidence?
His DNA will be on the other guys shirt and possibly in the wound. Plus it was on TV.
They will say the tv pics are inconclusive.
FIFA officials only care for making themselves rich and having an easy life. They will not want to know.

(I do hope I'm wrong though)
I can't see it TBH. FIFA haven't exactly got a squeeky clean name as it is, they won't stand for this. It was viewed by millions, they must set a precedent.

Was there not a headbutt incident the other night that was as plain as day and nothing was done about it ?

As far as I'm concerned while Liverpool continue to employ this serial 'biter' I hope they win NOTHING.

As a neutral, so glad they fell at the last hurdle last season.

It's indefensible. The guy needs a lengthy ban and some serious pyschological help while serving his ban.

Sports psychologist Dr Thomas Fawcett in 2013 said:
"It's not pre-planned - it's a very spontaneous, emotional response. He [Suarez] is doing it on impulse," says the psychologist, who has studied the footage extensively.

Most often biting is a sign of frustration. A negative response when tensions reach boiling point, he says.

Dr Fawcett thinks Anger management therapy is likely to have a minimal effect. "It's in the man," he says. "I would think that in five years' time if there was a certain nerve hit or chord rung with Suarez in a different situation he would react in the same way."

A multi-year ban from all forms of competition is the only acceptable punishment for this in my opinion.

I love what he does for Liverpool but this incident is the outright worst I have ever seen in football.

Agreed. I think a minimum 2 years. The punishments given to him previously have had no effect on him, however if he loses 2 years of his career as he is coming to his prime then that may be the only way.

For me it has to be a world wide ban for a set period of time. I also find it absolutely ridiculous that he could get banned and still get his wages?!? Its like me employing a truck driver, he gets banned for drink driving and then I have to pay his wages while he comes into work and plays Euro Truck Simulator until his ban is up? confused

As much as I dislike Liverpool, I feel sorry for them relying so heavily on such vermin.

Player was given a red card and automatic ban. I think once the referee acts, that is that.

Suarez wasn't seen - so FIFA can act retrospectively. However they haven't got either the appetite or teeth, so it won't be a long ban.

Do FIFA even have the power to ban a player from ALL football over an international offence? I think he'll be banned for 6-12 internationals and that will be end of it. Ironically, it may even benefit Liverpool because you'll have a player who can rest whilst the rest of the footballing worldfis off playing qualifiers, copaamerica etc.

How any top club would want to be associated with this epic of st is beyond me.
Seriously though, how on earth does a club deal with this type of st?
Seriously, i don't know ,

Were all having a bit of fun out of this but seriously, i don't know. Something has to be done though.
The clubs don't give a toss. He scores goals. Lots of goals. Which in football is exactly the same as stting money.

He sts huge amounts of money. Reliably. Dependably. Splash. £5m. Splatter, another £10m. Over and over and over again.

That's why the clubs don't care.
He might struggle to score many goals if he is banned for 24-matches or 2-years however. That's a very expensive asset for any team to have sat on the bench.

The guy is a complete fruitloop and clearly has precedence with his 2 previous biting episodes. He received a 7-match ban in 2010 after his first bitey episode and a 10-match ban in 2013.

Personally i'd ban him for 10 years and send him to a hospital.

I hope Suarez get's banned for life, but he won't.

I hope the Italian get banned for a year, but he won't. Since when does getting bitten on the shoulder make your fking knees give way.

Absolute cheating s, both of them.

Liverpool know exactly what he's like and pay him millions while he's banned. Are they:

A: desperate to get rid of him.

or

B: desperate to keep him

Exactly
