You're 0-1 down in an international.

Added time.

What happens.

To most teams you lose.

But with Ronaldo?

92 minutes, 94 minutes Bang. Bang.

Portugal 2 Egypt 1

Done. No body better. ever.

Still a tt though rolleyes Great skill but at what point is having your foot 6 foot in the air around someones head not dangerous play ? Anywhere else on the pitch its at least a foul, you can even see the defender back out of heading it for fear of getting booted in the head. Can't believe no one's even mentioned it on the panel (then again Rio's always been up Ronaldo's arse )

Rooney's was better because it was against City.
Had Ronaldo done that against Barca it would have taken things up a notch.
Still one of the greatest players of all time.
It was against Juventus, in the Champions League!

How much of a notch can you go up from that!

I do understand, but he totally believes in himself and I’m sure sees no reason to be humble.

He’s a showman and he sure can deliver.

No body does it like Ronaldo and he’s done it for years.

From what i can see Maradona scored 81 goals in 8 seasons, over 180 games, at Napoli.

If that were half then they'd win nothin.

An amazing player but his stats look daft next to Ronaldos.

Okay let's put it in context I was referring to the single season they won the championship and he scored a lot of those goals not as an out and out striker, but I think you were been somewhat obtuse. You also ignored the other points about having no protection from referees and lack of World class players around him.
Apols for the obtuse and I agree about the lack of protection.

Football has changed in that respect.

It's also much more competitive, the players are fitter, faster, stronger and have to perform more consistently at a higher level as their are players looking to get on the team.

I can't think of any area other than the likelihood of being fouled that a current player finds it easier than 30 years ago.

Or are you saying the games not moved on?

There has NEVER been a player as good as Ronaldo.

He has done it in the Premier league
He has done it in La Liga
He has done it in Serie A
He has done it in the champions league
He has done it for the national team.

There can be no doubt

Shame he's so arrogant, vain and if the rumours are to be believed a bit rapey.

He certainly knows how to kick a ball but he's one of the most dislikable people in sport, and that's saying something.
Dislike able!

He is the most popular sporting figure in the world

If he were in the premier league in his prime ( he’s past that now) he’d be bagging 50 goals a season.

The man is the GOAT.

In 2008 Ronaldo scored 42 goals in 49 games. He broke the all time Premier league scoring record and was transferred to Real for a world record fee.

He improved further at Real but there was way more to his game at united than step overs.

He was the best player in the world at United ,he won the ballon d’or ,he was incredible the last 2 seasons at United .
Exactly

He also held the all time premier league goal scoring record in his penultimate season and sold for a world record transfer fee.

Real didn’t buy a prospect they bought a genius.

If he were in the Prem now he’d be making teams look stupid.
