this could be interesting...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-31026229

apparently 'new, previously unavailable evidence'... one might question why it's taken 3 years for this to come to light, it's not exactly a low profile case

Goodluck to him I say if this new evidence overturns his conviction.

Look into the statistics of how often this happens... It doesn't just mean there is a tiny technicality. Something massive must have come up... And they have to think there is enough evidence for a realistic chance of overturning the conviction.

Looks like the poor sod was stitched up. Time will tell. If she is outed a lier will the lady in question be exposed to the public like he has?

Always had my doubts about this case. His partner stood by him. Her father bankrolled him... Hope there can be some justice for the Ched now.

Be nice to see Ennis-Hill munching on a large slice of humble pie, too.

That has always felt really weird to me, regardless of his guilt or not. He turned up in the middle of the night, sober, to have sex with a drunk woman that his mate had brought back to a hotel. Regardless of whether she consented, the behaviour of his wife and Father-in-law is very odd.

Having read the website it appears one of the main arguments is that the 2 people invovled slept with a drunk woman and therefore both should be guilty - however oen was and one was not.

I then read somewhere else that the reason is that the first guy had probably obtaiend consent when he bought the girl back to the hotel room - whereas Evans turned up to the hotel room and slept with her when she couldnt have consented

Be interesting to read the court transcript when it comes out!

"I'll bank roll you, but I want 50% of all future earnings"

Just a thought without any knowledge to back it up!

Poor investment from a successful businessmen.

2.5% of cases are referred to the CoA, and then about 2/3rds lead to the case being quashed. Then The CPS have the option for a retrial... So less than a 2% chance of the case being quashed - for a bloke who hasn't played football for years. AND who will still be damaged goods. Do you really think the feminazis are going to let it go?

I'd suggest - that they truly think he is innocent. I'm not sure if that is right or not. But I am interested in how this turns out. And I want to know what evidence has come out.
