I made the mistake of going to Sunderland. Shouty multiplied by Tourettes multiplied by absence of education plus tiny vocabulary.
All I can hope is that it is good therapy as it is a PITA for everyone else.

I used to play up front for a Sunday league team and one day I had a defender marking me who was the shouty one for their team. I just kept questioning him as to why the game was so important to him or was there something lacking in his life for a game of hungover/still drunk sunday league to mean so much to him. My questioning seemed to put him right off marking me, easiest way to get 10yds of space that I've ever found.

I'm one of the more vocal players in my team I would say. I don't mouth off and put people down, just shout info for them that is helpful (ie. man on). Don't see what's wrong with doing that as it improves the team really.

You find that the ones gobbing off at their team mates are usually the "ex apprentice" or the one who thinks he's Ronaldo when really they are one of the worst players.

......but the best away support I've heard at Loftus Road for years. Tons of songs and good ones.

We get it. Play twice a week and usually have shouting. Don't mind communication but when it's bordering on verbal abuse it's a piss take.

Two of my mates take it far too seriously for a kick about. Usually calm but they just get Agro. No point to it. Don't get it

Hmm. Pele, do you get invited back by these weaker teams?

i gave up playing junior football due to shouty dads.

stint playing sunday mornings when I was older usually uncovered the centre forward (usually pretty poor and self appointed in the position) who, when I picked the ball up in the centre of the park, would bellow, shout and scream, and most baffling of all point at the space between his feet with both hands, all whilst stood still with his back to goal...now...i'm no paul scholes, but I do know that had the chap seen me pick the ball up, and immediately turned to look for a run i'd have put him through straightaway. instead I usually humoured him 3 times in 10, watched him fumble his first two touches, turn like a lorry in a mcd's drive thru and then balloon it over the bar and feign injury for a few minutes. every fking time....

now I play the friendly 5-a-side, one shouty man, I did have a go at him once for screaming TIIIIMMMMMEEEE right in my ear as I struck it first time..useful info...

Have to agree with this. You go watch a good team at any level and you can hear that the better teams are always more vocal giving each other help. This is the case from Sunday league throughout.
