At one stage I considered the possibility of Arsenal going for Balotelli this summer. I'm so glad we didn't, he's truly appalling. In the end we signed Welbeck, a player with genuine ability desperate to prove his worth. So far he's been fantastic and is proving a bargain to be honest.

Its the reason most of us Utd fans were sad to see him go but didn't resent him for it. Always did his best for us and deserved a decent chance at nailing down that position.

At least he tried his best, Balotelli is just a waste of space, a 'superstar' in his own head.

Wellbeck, in premier league terms = average talent, above average attitude. Balo, above average talent, attitude issue. You cant learn talent, look at Cantona.

I think given his past DW should be given until the end of the season before declaring him of average talent.

Is Ball actually anymore talented? I mean everyone says he is this talent that is just a bit hard to manage but I don't see it when you watch him play.

I think he had enough chance at Man U to show if he was above average. I don't see him in the same class as Wright or Henry. If he improves under Wenger he'll be moved on for a profit after a season or two.

Wright and Henry were to you above average? They were exceptional!!

I can't have that. He's far from average. Welbeck is quick, powerful, he has excellent movement and an eye for goal. I can imagine he's a blooming nightmare to play against in your a centre half.

The realityis he hasn't flourished until now because he's been ask to play so many different positions, often not given any decent run of games or the real chance to shine. He's been badly managed to be honest, now he's getting a consistent run of games in his preferred position and slowly we're beginning to benefit.

Giroud faces a real fight to get his place back in the team.

I agree. I hope for his sake that he's given a good run up front in the team. I'd have him at Spurs. I wouldn't trust Balotelli to run a turnstile.
