Have to be honest that made me smile, our defence is solid as a rock apart from the mistakes and sloppy goals we concede.....

Paddy Power gave me a free tenner bet, so I stuck it on Real Madrid.

So we're BOUND to pull off something special smile

Maybe no Sterling either

Poor thing to do to us by the manager. Wait for so long to get here and because he can't beat the likes of Hull at home he's playing a weakened squad in a global fixture like this. Man is a moron.

I would be well chuffed with a draw, but would be happy with a good performance and minimal mistakes, whatever the score.

A win on Saturday would be better than anything tonight

So that's how they justify charging 7 quid a month for what was a free channel. That on top of the subscription to LFC.tv (40-odd quid a year last time I was on that) and the cost of an "official" ipad app. Think I'll pass on all 3 now.

Good grief, not the place for me and my vertigo to visit then.

I like the way they've situated the goal on the right hand side for Balotelli's shots. hehe

In all seriousness, I actually feel a little sorry for Steven Gerrard. This could well be the last great European night of his career yet it looks like he will miss out through being rested. Sometimes as a manager, you have to do the right thing by players and to me, that means BR resting him against Newcastle and playing him tonight.

Goes without saying that you might struggle to make top four this season so there's little chance of drawing RM again next season. Year after that, Gerrard will surely be retired... I'd have given him a game tonight as a reward for years of loyalty.

You're right Martin, the resting is a little too late imo, and maybe not so thought through.

No drama, I'm sure there were a number of people in here saying he should never start another game for us a few weeks ago...

Having to take a client to the Arsenal game so will be sky plus song and avoiding all forms of social media and news as best as I can!

Also, will leave this here, though it means little - run down ranking of the atmosphere by stadium - Tottenham will enjoy it!
