Jones is a diabolical keeper, we have sadly known that from day one. We all know that Mignolet isn't good enough too, a great reaction keeper but a terrible decision maker, I can't recall anyone calling for him to be dropped though (may be wrong) because we all knew that the other option was Jones so a real lose lose situation.
Gerrard, while I hate to see a great player in decline, he did nothing yesterday, absolutely nothing and although he has had a few good games recently and that free kick but you begin to wonder what influence someone else (not talking about finding his replacement) may have on a game at that moment in time. A really tough situation and a tough call for a manager.
Brendan looks like he is lost but is remaining stubborn and arrogant, everyone everywhere can see how pathetic our defence is, we desperately needed this to be sorted this season due to losing our main attacking/goal threat. We simply had to counter act that by sorting that defence. I thought we had bought ok but looking at it now you realise it is all down to our defensive training and that brings you straight onto the stubbornness and the fact that he simply won't admit there is a problem, this beggars belief.
Our strikeforce is none existent, sadly our main man has been injured and I am not holding my breath on his return, this leads to more stubbornness and the Borini situation, he is probably our best option for a lead man and should be utilised in a two man attack alongside Balotelli. Some of us want to see this in action but it just won't happen.
I, like others would give him time if he would realise these glaringly obvious problems and address them rather than thinking nothing is wrong and battling on. I am pretty much on the fence, if he can eat humble pie then fair enough, we can crack on with the plan. If not then I have no problems with waving him goodbye.

So how do we go into Wedenesday's match ?
Should we play a strong team ( as best we can ) and go for a good victory to try and boost morale a little, Or should it be used to give some of the fringe players a run out and see how they perform ?

Manquillo, Toure, Skrtel, Moreno.
Markovic, Lucas, Cann, Sterling.
Borini, Balotelli.
MRT, just be glad you weren't a United fan when Ferguson started. The second full season in charge he went from 2nd the season before, down to finishing 11th, then the season after that was almost sacked with lots of people calling for him to be out. Sound similar to our situation at the moment?

Just because someone posts one thing it doesn't mean it is the same poster that has contradicted/changed their mind. Unless of course you are going back through all the posts and double checking who said what.
Someone commented last week and was way off the mark with the facts and was just mashing the keyboard.
There are way more variables in peoples minds regarding this situation rather than just bandwagon jumping or hindsight.
We all are perfectly within our rights to change our views about the management and also the players.
I don't think the problems have really changed though - it's just poor results have continued, and how were we going to change the goals problem when there isn't the chance to sign anyone to get them? For me it's the biggest problem (apart from our defense, but that didn't matter for 2nd place) and I think things will change if we get a decent striker in.Someone commented last week and was way off the mark with the facts and was just mashing the keyboard.

Sounds a team that could be pretty good balancing attack versus defense. Perhaps have someone else in midfield for Marko though, depending how he does.Manquillo, Toure, Skrtel, Moreno.

Some think that you can't compare the 2 managers. I agree, one has had 200 million and over 2 seasons.
As a Liverpool fan I do not think my expectations are unreasonable, after spending 200 million I don't expect us to be in the bottom half of the table.
I agree with you and I wish he had made as much effort when buying his players as he did when buying his coat for the UTD game.As a Liverpool fan I do not think my expectations are unreasonable, after spending 200 million I don't expect us to be in the bottom half of the table.
I'm not sure what this MRT stuff is about. The tides turned for all the blind backers of BWB, the M must stand for majority opinion I think.
And drawing SAF as a comparison to Bodge, that is so lazy at best and just plain ignorant at worst. SAF was a proven winner when he came to Utd. Remind me what league and European competitions Bodge has won?
