It's shameful that this thread has to be reminded of that.

I thought his passing was excellent last night.

I'll be the first to admit that maybe I was a bit harsh whilst he was settling in, saying he'd been disappointing. At least I didn't go so far as to say something really stupid like he's never going to be the calibre we need. hehe

Also his willingness to cover backwards playing LWB was very impressive - I thought he would be a massive liability playing that.

Quick reality check guys.... Bournemouth were very poor for most of the game yesterday, they can play a lot better than this, and would no doubt have been very disappointed With their performance.

He took his goal really really well, a lot of players would have sky rocketed it in a flap but he was very cool however I am reserving judgement until I see him do it in the PL which is a whole new ball game.

TBH, I can see what TT's saying but, equally, it's nice just to ignore it and bask in having scored 3 goals against anyone and won a game of football.

No doubt we'll have descended back into Dante's 9 circles of hell by 18:00 on Sunday and special reference will be made to level 8...

Dave - all anyne with any sense is talking about is the way our football has changed having a mobile striker up front - its giving more options to attack, giving us more space to pass and run into - go back 4 weeks and Mario or Lambert up front Bournemouth would have been anything but like last night -
We are simply talking about the options having a mobile striker is now giving us - shown against Man U and last night -
Also we are talking about Markovic and his improvements in his last 3 games ??

So not sure what the 'it was only bournemouth' comment means -
I dont think anyone is gettin carried away , merely just commenting on the improvements attacking wise as a team and certain individuals over the last 2/3 games ....

Indeed we did and a good win it was in my opinion. We could easily made a hash of that but we did well.
Not sure on the winning a cup and getting 4th comment earlier but it is nice to finally score some goals, still wish we hadn't conceded though.

Was it not around 2 weeks ago that someone said they never wanted to see him play again? biggrin

Our £20 million summer signing had a decent game against Bournemouth. Lets not lose the run of ourselves just yet.

I think people are aware of that, just nice to have a bit to celebrate! Plus he had a few good minutes previously, before seeing red, wink

Fully agree, but if he hadn't performed against Bournemouth there would have been all sorts of jibes and insults being thrown at him. It's only fair that he gets some praise when he does perform - regardless of the opposition.

Also you know, certain PL teams have struggled against lower league opposition wink a win is a win and winning is a habit
