I would have thought this afternoon's shocks would really give BR all the content he needs for his motivational speech before the game. This game, and this competition, are there for the winning.

Southampton out too. Top 3 in the PL out in the same day. Looks like Man U did well getting a draw against Cambridge! wink

I'm worried we're going back to Johnson etc and that we'll just go backwards in form from previous weeks. Hopefully will be proved completely wrong!

Nice hit from Henderson there... Early bouts of possession & corners for Bolton, they won't be a pushover today.

2 early yellows for Boltons back four could cause them problems later with Sterling & co running at them all game. Coutinho looks like he has a hamstring problem frown ... Borini on maybe & up front, drop Sterling into where Coutinho was?

Sakho's long range passing is pretty impressive... he can really ping the ball about.

Sterling is isolated up front, getting some good breaks but he has no pass or anyone taking a defender off his hands.

Spot on... he needs someone up there alongside him.

The longer this continues goalless the more nervy we get and the likelihood of Bolton scoring.

We're just not creating enough, lots of movement in attacking midfield but too much too similar and easy to defend against.
