One of the best performances I've seen from Allen in a Liverpool shirt.

We were a bit flaky at the back at times but we're playing the team with the best away record in the prem.
With the benefit of 20/20 hindsight, looks like the game plan was just right. We split them wide open several times - I haven't seen city play for a while but they didn't look great.
Onward and upwards!

Fantastic performance and result, particularly the energy and application after a long tough game on Thursday

Thought the midfield was excellent, goal scorers obviously but I thought Allen deserved a special mention, controlled and did the simple things well, and cut out the negatives which I have seen in other games - giving the ball away cheaply and getting knocked off the ball too easily. Play like that regularly and I would be delighted that he would prove the doubters including me wrong - well done lad

People starting to see the value of Allen. The truth is he puts in similar performance levels every game.

Allen must be a dream to play with. It's funny that you don't hear any criticism of Allen from ex-players and managers, only certain fans and ill informed journalists.
