I think one big question from today is why can't Allen play like that every game?

yesterday I would have dropped him, today he would be one of the first names on my teamsheet.

But apart from that "WHAT A FECKING RESULT"

Well it should be a nice place in here today, I cannot see any real downsides from today's performance.

Sye did it look that promising live?

9 from spurs, saints and city not bad for a team and a manager with no idea
I suppose you're going to win the league now?
I wouldn't be shouting about wins against the first two......
Well played today though and a good game to watch.

Not really no! Thought it was a bit crap tbh ! Team had to score to get ground going !!

I thought we were ok today nothing great ! Lovren and mignonet need to stop this passing thing they have going on! Causes panic ! Lovren was better though to be fair ! Coutinho class and as I said Allen had a very good game against 2 big CM's

But he does play like that every game. He was particularly good today though.

Sturridge and Sterling need to take a leaf out of Henderson and Coutinho's book - Just fking hit it.

So frustrating watching them try and walk it in and just run in to defenders.

Thought Allen had a really good game, and would have been man of the match after Coutinho.

I wasn't feeling too positive heading into the match but it was a cracking performance and result in the end! Thought Coutinho, Allen, Henderson and Lallana were all excellent today topped off with 2 fantastic goals (and to be fair the Man City goal was very good too!). Lovren looked better, although he still has a tendency to dive-in unnecessarily. Expect Sakho will be back for the Burnley match?

Only disappointment for me is Sterling, yes his all-round game was good, but his finishing and final ball was poor on most occasions (although he did get 2 "assists" which is good news for my fantasy football team cool). He really seems to struggle with decision making at times. I'm beginning to wonder where he fits in once Sturridge is 100% fit as I certainly wouldn't drop Coutinho and Lallana after today's performance...

Season seems to be falling apart. We simply are not creating any genuine chances. Huge game on Sunday.

Hhhmmmm doesn't seem to be falling apart to me ?? wink
26 - Liverpool have taken 26 points (8W 2D) from their last 10 Premier League games.
We were 17 points behind city jan 1st - now 7

The 3 players to cover the most ground in the Liverpool v Man City game were Lallana (11.9km), Allen (11.6) & Henderson (11.4). Energy.

So I'm still drinking in Liverpool, keep seem to be missing my train back. Joe Allen, man of the match performance. Best game he's had in his life.

Season defining performance today I think...

Made a mental note of the page number after this post! Remind me not to ask you for the lottery numbers.....

Great win today. Allen and Coutinho the stand out performers, but was encouraged by Lovren's display - most solid he's looked for us I thought.

So I swapped tickets with a real fan in the main stand today to see if the games any different there to the seat I normally park my arse in - yep it's different, every fker stands up when we get near the goal Grrrrr

Ok great unexpected result with two amazing goals and some way above normal performances but City were the usual slow lumbering team that is puzzling, our little speed boats ran them ragged particularly Lala and little Joe both had space aplenty today.

Lala - one of his best games, Lovren was very average which is good as he is usually crap, Joe had his best ever game by a mile - I only noticed one error but lots of positives around Yaya, Hendo was mr reliable and has had shooting practise, Stirling was bullied out of it by Kompany and others, Can was amazing he did so much right.

Only one player let the team down today, pushed off the ball and failed to beat his man 90% of the time and was subbed far far too late - Laser needs to man up and quick.

LFC - make us dream?
