Absolute madness to have 4 strikers of which only 1 can play in the style we prefer.

The Arsenal game will be huge. Get 3 points there and we're back in the fight. Lose there and we'll get overtaken by those behind us.

Playing Arsenal with no Skrtel, Gerrard or Sturridge has ruined the game - ok no SG but we need the other 2 to have any chance, the run in is ruined by the fact Brendan cant set them up mentally - not knocking him (other managers have the same issue) its just he has 100% failed to instil discipline in the team even with a psych on board - against Man U we were not professional, NOT LFC.

I am gutted that the next month will be crap when it could have been so much better and I have a feeling we will collapse against QPR and Palace never mind the good teams.

Agreed. Happy to be proved wrong but Sunday knocked all my enthusiasm out for this season. They just didn't seem to want to bother. And if THEY don't...

Were we 'set up mentally' and disciplined for the Man City game?

No I don't think we were but City didn't attack our style like Man U did, they really stopped us playing and the players couldn't handle it and kicked, stamped and pulled rather than keep plugging away

I actually see us playing better without Sturridge; as in I think we press better having Sterling up front. Ever since DS has come back we have been playing poorly especially attack wise. With Sterling up front we can press higher with more intensity which will naturally put us on the front foot.

I don't think we will collapse or let the season peter out we still have a Cup to win and there is a still a chance of Top 4; United have difficult games and I think this International break has come at the right time. It should give BR a chance to take stock and come up with any tweaks or changes that he sees fit. But just a week ago we were the only unbeaten team in the League in 2015 riding a wave that would have taken us into the Top 4; a defeat doesnt change that in the same way the win for United doesn't guarantee them Top 4.

That last game will be big for a number of teams, possibly Southampton included. Feisty.
