Like Raheem thought Ibe has no real connection with Liverpool - what happens in 2 years if this happens again - biggest issue for me is its not that Raheem may want to go - its what are LFC doing about keeping their best players and proving to them we will compete.
Sadly I don't think we will, we have been a selling club by accident for a while now (Torres) as the best players want to win trophy's an when we have a "great" player like Suarez we don't / cant build on it - imagine if we kept him and signed a world class midfielder - we would have the makings of a true competitive team. We are doing it by creating great players, by innovative tactics and by luck. And as for RS - he is a tricky little winger with no shot, if we can get £30m + he should be gone.DSLiverpool said:

One thing for sure if we sold him for 30m and bought Andriy Yarmolenko for 15-20m we would have done great business.DSLiverpool said:

They didnt even know about the interview till after he did it -
I am gobsmacked they allow their players (their employees) to go out and arrange their own media interviews to talk about their employment without their knowledge or any permissions required. Clearly I'm very old fashioned.m3sye said:
"The manager said he was 'relaxed' about his contract situation and that Liverpool are a 'superpower' of world football and don't have to sell their best players."Hmm.

You'd think a superpower of world football would have player policies in place to ask permission to do interviews and subsequent fines if the permission was not asked or granted. Same for tweets about not being in the squad, or releasing inside info etc. SMH.

No, I mean the point is that he has gone and done it. They should have far stricter controls in place that forbid this kind of thing without their permission - seems like they haven't.SydneyBridge said:
I am sure he knew what he is allowed to do, and not do, but did it anyway. His agent probably told him it was good PR
RS needs to grow up and stop being a dick - obvious the interview was not the right way to behave, and if he was tryting to curry favour with the fans and distil the impression he is being greedy it backfired spectacularlyNo problem with the interview (apart from the fact he clearly did it without informing the club). The club seems to have carte blanche to release all the quotes about the negotiations and let people think he's a greedy little st. I don't believe he is; I think his agent is and he's being badly advised. But hey, if he decides he might be better off elsewhere - byeeee!

I can remember being a bigger dick at 20 tbh Just because they earn big money does not automatically mean they are grown up - his problem is quite obviously bad advice from his agent
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mea1JWuivKo - As a youngster he should make LFC a very attractive club to join - what we cant have is the little sts leaving us after a couple of years of 1st team action
