If we end up 7th do we avoid the Europa League?
We need to qualify and get experience, CL this year was embarrassing so let's do Europa and practise

Well u got one half of the scoreline right.

I see Bodge is blaming his tools again. Maybe a bit radical but a decent manager makes the best if what he has, not try and force players into a system that they can't play.

I guarantee Rafa would do better with this exact squad of players. I'm sure FSG are thinking whether they can bring in someone who can also.

Can't see us getting 5th place. We're on a typical Everton style slide at the end of a season. We'll finish 7th ish

Ah now RT, your feelings on him aside.... Blaming his strikers is a relatively valid complaint this time around.

Brendan's got some front moaning about the lack of striking options at his dipsosal...he spent £40mil of Lallana and Balaotelli last summer. That was enough to buy a genuine World Class player.

Was enough but look at the Sanchez situation.
Who could have we bought for £40m?
Looking back at Benzema being touted for us makes me piss myself laughing.
As if he'd come to us hehe
Arsenal Utd and Chelsea are leagues above us in pulling power.

We are in the same class as Spurs.

Lallana was a quality signing & will prove to be a very useful player, no one complained when we were buying him... Balotelli was forced on the team, do you not remember Rogers stateing in public that he wouldn't be buying him? He was a last minute panic buy by the transfer panel & a huge gamble, that has not paid off...

Our team is not hugely different to the one that took us so close to winning the league, but it just shows how vital the front line is. Balotelli was never going to be the sort of player we needed.

I'm not being funny but how on earth is Coutinho in there?

Balotelli was forced on Bodge in the same way Coutinho and Sturridge were.

Yesterday's abject failure is more galling after the Manc got spanked - even when it's handed to us we can't take advantage

The entire backroom team are clueless mate. That picture posted of the 3 of em is worth a thousand words. Bodge has brought in a team that know less than he does and are over promoted in the same way as he is.

It's the same with the players, experienced player after experienced player have been forced out because they can call him out.

Maybe he will still be here next season, but all we'll see is the same as this season.

The lack of "real men" is scary - too many flair poodles not enough staffys . Looking at Chelsea as I am now I can see at least 5 battlers.

Because among a struggling team he has shown real talent and class all year ?

But a lot of you were saying he shouldn't be playing earlier this year. It's not like he's got loads of goals or assists either.

Very strange selection, I can't believe the obvious choice didn't get voted in ahead of him.

Didn't Terry mention Coutinho as his player of the year?

Personally I'd build a team that makes the most of him.

Coming to the end of the season I'd like to see us set up next season either as a 433 or 4312 formation. I'd play Coutinho either in the hole behind 2 strikers or as the 3rd central midfielder ahead of Henderson and Cann.

You see that's a really good post and I completely agree.

If you could just drop the dickishness about BR this forum would be great.

I can only assume that you and DS support Liverpool in a masochistic sense, never bloody happy but probs spend the most mula 'supporting' them.

Season ain't over yet, ManU to capitulate please!
