Didn't Terry mention Coutinho as his player of the year?

Personally I'd build a team that makes the most of him.

Coming to the end of the season I'd like to see us set up next season either as a 433 or 4312 formation. I'd play Coutinho either in the hole behind 2 strikers or as the 3rd central midfielder ahead of Henderson and Cann.
You see that's a really good post and I completely agree.

If you could just drop the dickishness about BR this forum would be great.

I can only assume that you and DS support Liverpool in a masochistic sense, never bloody happy but probs spend the most mula 'supporting' them.

Season ain't over yet, ManU to capitulate please!

Hull will be massively up for Tuesday, how hungry is our squad? Do they really think 4th is still in reach? Have to start with Lambert & Borini IMHO & attack hard from the start, I feel sorry for Lambert he has just been given a chance to prove himself.

Think our squad might have resigned themselves to not getting top 4 and not being the most hungry.

Probably less hungry than Saturday

Well it's not alright is it? They need to be driven to win every game and hope for the best.

Win our remaining games apart from Chelsea (maybe a draw?) and we still have a genuine chance of 4th IMO.

Man U are set to capitulate in my footballing dreams hehe

Absolutely agree- we have 4 cup finals (not quite as dramatic as that but in effect they could be) and the players should be up for it (unlike the semi) and 4th is the carrot, if not 5th is still much better than 7th...

Hope the crowd are up for it as well for our home games

The only thing going for us on Tuesday is that Hull really need the points as they are still well in the mix for relegation, so I doubt we'll see them parking the bus like West Brom did on Saturday. If they try to actually get at us it will hopefully allow us to hit them on the break which we obviously seem to find much easier than breaking down a packed defence

Odds on Southampton to finish 4th in that case smile
Actually, I'd love it if Utd faltered and Southampton got the 4th spot. That would be hysterical laugh

Can Utd lose one and draw one from their last 4 games. Yep that's likely.

Can we win all our remaining 5 games that include Hull and Chelsea away?

if Chelsea have won the league before we play them it will make things easier, no reason why we cannot beat them anyway though

I like your optimism however
1, Chelsea hate us
2, Were not good enough to beat a leaky WBA never mind a hard to score against Chelsea
3, LFC are on holiday - as will be demonstrated by a draw or shock loss to Hull tomorrow
Fed up!

I'm thinking more like Man U draw twice lose once, us Win 4 and get a draw against Chelsea.

Utter pie in the sky, but this has been one strange PL with no real form shown by anyone apart from Chelsea, and Arsenal recently.

I agree very much a long shot and mainly as our players look like their heads are on the sun loungers already. I said before this wasn't over till it over, and a win against West Brom, with yesterday result would have suddenly changed the mood big time, we got a draw, so really is long shot now.

It's up to BR to seriously kick some ass to get the players motivated for these 5 games. He really needs to show that he is the man for the job at times like this

Tell 'em they're not allowed to leave Hull unless they win.

If he can't get them motivated for challenging for a top 3 or 4 spot or an FA Cup final place then I don't hold out much hope for the rest of the season.

We'll know soon enough. Team for Hull?

Mignolet
Ibe Skrtel Lovren Moreno
Can Lucas Henderson
Coutinho Sterling
Mario

If Sakho's fit I'd ditch Lovren. Really looking forward to a midfield 3 of Can Lucas and Henderson. The obvious improvement there for next season is to have a box to box goalscorer in that 3. Maybe one for the window.

No idea why Gerrard started the semi nor why he should start tomorrow night. As for Mario, I'm 100% certain played right he'll score 20 goals a season.
