Regardless of what we want at LFC its ultimately down to the players wanting it as well and after the Semi and WBA I have lost confidence we can make players want to win for us / them / FSG.
Bren sounds increasingly desperate in every soundbite and another damp squib tonight will have more people convinced he has taken us as far as he can and its time for a new man to motivate the place.
He has talent but I think his bottle has gone and its influencing the team who are scared of life after SG and too many of them are hiding in games and in print - not much support coming apart from players leaving which means little.

Sat was another must win game that just didn't happen, had we won that and won tonight 4th would have been right back on but once again we failed to get up for a must win game - thoroughly disappointing. The Anti-Mourinho effect ? Jose gets them up for virtually everything its a charisma and a built in self assurance that Bren only has on the surface, I don't think he believes it himself.m3sye said:

Utd game killed the mood, the 2 games after buried it.Players have lost form at the business end of the season. Sterling blows hot and cold, his head is dreaming of £200k a week somewhere, his performances need to start justifying that kind of weekly wage, oh sorry its not about the money is it. Allens form has dropped as has Can's, at least Can and Sterling are young, and young players do blow hot and cold.
We have bugger all up front, and DS is becoming know as sick note.
Its very depressing, as even after a poor start, we had put ourselves right back in chance of top 4, with an FA cup semi.

As much as I have supported BR, the last 5 games will most likely define his time at LFC.
The players HAVE to be up for every game, performances matter, results even more so.

Yep agree, if we whimper these last 5 games and finish 7th knives will well and truly be out... I think he has a chance of staying if we get 5th and finish strong..As much as I have supported BR, the last 5 games will most likely define his time at LFC.

Rumours are City want Carlo - so Klopp would have to be an option for us if they were thinking of getting rid
Klopp is coming to Anfield. Just get used to the idea.
We won't finish 5th, the players have given up and BR is sounding more and more desperate. Tonight could bury him. In fact a Tuesday night in Hull would bury most people.
He's had 3 seasons here and seems to have a less clear idea of what he wants than when he arrived.

I think you're half right, where as Si is spot on imo.We won't finish 5th, the players have given up and BR is sounding more and more desperate. Tonight could bury him. In fact a Tuesday night in Hull would bury most people.

5th and good performances will see him start next season as our Manager, anything less and he'll be gone.
Unless Klopp is genuinely interested and FSG already have him set up? No rumours yet...

Lambert, Borini and Mario look set to be off - not rating any of them as support to DS

According to Mike Bernard on Twitter, FSG are meeting with Sevilla's director of football in a week or 2, with a view to enticing him to Anfield. They'll then dismantle the transfer committee - but not until this Summer's dealings are over and done with. That would be a DoF to work above BR, not instead of.
And we're looking at Benteke from Villa and Sissoko at Newcastle apparently.

I disagree. Humans will always blow hot and cold - however it is the quality of the team around them that if good enough, will help carry the couple of players who are having off days. Problem is, we do not have any real leaders in our team. Everyone looks to someone else. I have said it before, we lack a real General commanding the park from the middle. Skrtel is about it IMO and if were up to me, I would make him captain going forward. Henderson is definitely not the answer. The penalty fiasco highlighted that painfully when Balotelli took over and scored.Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
