I wouldn't be surprised if that was done by a United fan, with a sort of twisted sense of hunour.I couldn't say it better if I tried, possibly only missing the use of Joe Allen to help make a point. Excellent article.

I'm not sure what point you are trying to make that you haven't 4000 times before?http://m.independent.ie/sport/soccer/rodgers-undon...
What are you trying to achieve by consistently smacking the same point of view?
Thing is we are very close to 4th this season, every team above us (and spurs) has had a poor season hence even with our lack of goals etc we are still thereabout HOWEVER the chances of all the big 4 (and spurs) having another poor season are virtually nil.
If we dont get it right this summer (platers and tactics and maybe manager) we will be blown away to a mini league of Spurs, Soton and LFC for 5th place. BLOODY SCARY! and hardly stadium filling.

.
I agree with your general point but surely we only need one of those 4 to have a poor season and us to have a very good season. Obviously the latter requires the right players/manager/tactics etc.

Klopp has won things, repeatedly. Bodge has never won anything.
As for 5th, it's all there in black and white what the targets were this season. Anyone who thinks this season is anything other than a complete failure, how does it go, yes that's it must be a troll and a closet Utd fan.
With the players available and injuries considered where do you think we should have finished this year ?As for 5th, it's all there in black and white what the targets were this season. Probably because his answer is 5th...
I've not at all ignored this question. Rather, I look at the table and I can give you at least 6 more points we should have had if it wasn't for our manager's mistakes over the season. BR himself stated 2nd was on only a few weeks ago.
Also, I don't (and neither did the manager or the owners) think it was just about the league. Our European campaign was disgraceful and Villa beat us with ease in a semi final of the FA Cup where the manager publicly went on to blame his players.
As I've repeatedly stated, I'm happy to park this conversation until the summer when we'll all see whether the owners agree with fans like me or keep the manager on another season. You can't have it both ways. You either want the discussion or you don't.

Any chance of showing us where the target was for this season from FSG, since it's in black and white?RedTrident said:
Klopp is available and is a better manager. Both of these are facts. FSG were interested in him before, after this season, they are almost certainly considering an approach. They'd be mad not to be at least thinking about it.
I'm sure this will all play out within the next few weeks. As a reference point, how quickly was club legend Dalglish, sacked after the end of the season? That will tell us all we need to know here I think.
Daglish finished 8th, and also spent £55 million on Carroll and Downing (if you like to complain about Rodgers signings/ him having lots of money). BR came second last season, and may well come 5th after a horror season in regards to having any striker available.I'm sure this will all play out within the next few weeks. Yawn fest.
Boring maladjusted troll.
People say 'ignore' but it's not possible if you want any interaction here at all - other posters have just stopped and the guff can't go unchallenged without completely withdrawing from the forum.
Do you even understand what a forum is? I was asked a question, I replied. You're behaving like a stalker. Boring maladjusted troll.

We all knew that Sturridge was a sick note. We've also had 2 other strikers available throughout the season. One was the manager's choice and the other scored 13 goals the previous season. Dalglish was indeed a disaster in the transfer market. Yet he got to 2 cup finals, won a cup and still got sacked.
Liverpool nearly won the title last season. I maintain that this had more to do with Suarez than it had to do with the manager.
