RT, please please please park this conversation until the Summer.
Then I also suggest others do likewise. Some posters can't ask me a question and not expect me to reply or claim I'm refusing or ignoring answering a question. That's just silly and that's exactly what has been taking place. ExV8 said:
Can we wait until RT has answered the question on Standard Chartered demanding changes question. We all know it never happened and makes him a fraud but humour me..........if no links perhaps the honest response is to stop posting all the other drivel......
How do you know it never happened? I think we'll know for sure once he's gone and everything comes out. But you bringing this up now is for no other reason than to bait me. Really poor form after my offer. And for everyone else on this thread, here again is an example. For some on here its clearly personal. Meanwhile, I'm quite comfortable on calling it as I see it and in the few, very few , cases where I'm wrong, I'll hold my hands up. Henderson was one of them. My assessment of Dalglish and the current manager meanwhile is accurate.

I think Brendan has the makings of a good manager in another 2 jobs time, this came too soon for him. Football aside his character traits jar.He hasnt managed to curtail his stupid comments when silence is a better option or a Jose none comment is called for (despite wide spread ridicule he must be aware of).
He makes Wenger seem pessimistic with wildly misplaced optimism
He should have bought in a better back up team unless FSG have a hiring committee that Marsh and Pascoe were the dream choice of.
He appears to me like a dad fulfilling his playing dream through his son, too matey with the players or totally the opposite in a sulky way.
I think he should go to West Ham / Soton etc and perfect the raw talent that is undoubtedly present but I dont want him doing it at LFC, he is a few years off at least.

We'll know for sure that SC insisted on something happening a year ago if it that thing happens 12 months later? And now you are the one being baited?!?

So you want to talk about something from well over a season ago because you want to distract away from my assessment of Bodge being perhaps accurate? It'll all come out in the wash. You can't have it both ways.
I'd love to know more about this. Can you please elaborate. Or post some links for it.Thanks in advance.

I think it was around Christmas in his first season. RT claimed it was going to break in the media
that Rodgers had been hauled in for a meeting with SC who were unhappy etc, etc. He was told this by an
"insider" mate of his.
Story never came out in the press, it may or may not have happened.

At the end of the day our top scorer has 7 goals. We havent had a proper striker all season (Balotelli has been awful, Lambert is pointless, Borini......) If we had Sturridge fit and had a better backup then we would have been top 4 this year.
Sure its annoying to have lost the Semi finals to Chelsea & Villa but its not all doom & gloom, unfortunately we over achieved last season which has meant unless we had won the league this year that what ever we did this season was always going to be a disappointment.

This pretty much sums up my thoughts, I think he's been a bit star struck at times, the job was too much too soon but he has the makings in there, I'm still to be convinced of his tactical nous and ability to set up a team for a specific opponent and I've never really warmed to him, which matters not if he wins us things. He hasnt managed to curtail his stupid comments when silence is a better option or a Jose none comment is called for (despite wide spread ridicule he must be aware of).

For what it's worth, he'll be at Liverpool next year, I'm not sure if Im in agreement with that or against it. Strange feeling to be honest.

I think quite a lot of fans feel that. If he gets a good start to next season they'll be behind him. If it's a really poor start the majority of fans will turn and want him out.For what it's worth, he'll be at Liverpool next year, I'm not sure if Im in agreement with that or against it. Rodgers does seem to play the game in the right spirit. At times, it can beautiful to watch a Rodger's Liverpool with the free-flowing, high energy pressing and passing. At other times, the team can look dour and lifeless. Suarez no doubt lifted the team last season by his sheer desire and will to win. That was infectious and desperately missing this season. We need a similar leader in the middle of the park, driving the youngsters on and dictating play. Rodgers needs to examine some of the tactical decisions he made this season, some of the teams he chose (ok he had limited options up front but continuing playing Sterling?!). Thankfully the Gerrard conundrum is one he won't have to contend with next season, which should make his and our lives (sadly) easier.
If FSG do give him another season and he does make a couple of marquee signings, not least in his backroom then I am would be willing to give Rodgers the benefit of the doubt. He like most of the Liverpool team, are potential. Now is the time to start realising some of it.
