I honestly don't think our defensive frailties are anything to do with our players.
Absolute bks.Of course the players have something to do with it.
Sakho was horrific and before the New Year. Johnsona not even turned up. Lovren, when he played was poor.
The player absolutely played a part in leaking goals.
Everything that is wrong is BR's fault and anything good has nothing to do with him in your opinion - nonsensical.
Moreno Sakho Skrtel Johnson (any replacement)
I think that regardless of who we bring in to our back 4, if the coaching remains the same so will the outcome.
Also, once we played Lucas in front of the back 4 we got much better. As we did by dropping in an extra defender and playing a back 3.
The way we leak goals has been an issue now for 3 seasons with multiple defensive line ups. I'm not sure where else you think the responsibility lies.

We could win the league, a European trophy, the FA and the League cup and there would still be 'expert' advice on here saying it how it should be done and proclaiming to have inside knowledge as to what the owners think of the cleaners and canteen workers.
We'll never find out if that's true or not.Cie said:

We'll never find out if that's true or not.Trouble is, however bad the players play, it is always the Manager that takes the blame. The players will never get sacked, they will their huge wages however crap they play. Its always the manager that gets blamed for picking the wrong team or formation, for not coaching them wrongly, not motivating them etc etc etc...
A football manager is on a hiding to nothing and I although I don't feel hugely sorry for BR (he does get paid st loads of money after all..), ultimately, the buck stops with him. I would hope that with some of the deadwood gone next season, we will be motivated and he has a season to show how good a manager he is
from papers today
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is lining up Liverpool striker Rickie Lambert, 33, as a potential replacement for Didier Drogba, 37, when he leaves Stamford Bridge this summer. (Mirror)
if he is good enough for them, surely we should keep him

Well you will be pleased to know my mates and I have today contributed roughly 60% of Raheems weekly wage to see them perform next season, I have even been asked for two extra which was a surprise.
If you ever think you have been poorly treated buying a car you cant imagine the disdain handing over £20k+ to a disinterested young lady in a faceless 10th floor office block who barely smiles or thanks you. Quite a stty experience (again)

Football in this country needs a reckoning, need to adopt a model much closer to the Germans?

I'm not sure why you think I'm way wide of the truth. The coaching has a part to play here. By all means disagree but it is not as black and white as you try to present this. Nothing to do with BR you claim, what was the term you used earlier - absolute bks or something wasn't it?

I've just paid £730, I thought that was madness.
For twenty grand I'd want a say in who plays not just a fking seat.

RT, I just wanted some further info on something I had not heard about previously. You were the source, so I asked for a link.
Re: the Tompkins Times article. A long but very good read. Always thought he talks a lot of sense.
He gives his perspective, sometimes I agree with it, other times I don't. Re: the Tompkins Times article. A long but very good read. Always thought he talks a lot of sense.
And your question has been answered.
How about you answer what your previous user name was? You're not new here are you?
This is a good snap of the article.
If it was all down to Suarez – who, let’s not forget, hadn’t been prolific in England when Rodgers took charge – then Manchester United have to hand back the titles won with Cristiano Ronaldo, and nothing Pep Guardiola did at Barcelona counts because he had Lionel Messi. This kind of logic is understandable to most five-year-olds. Benítez was only ever any good because of Gerrard, or then Torres, and so on.

Guardiola has won stuff without Messi. SAF without Ronaldo and Rafa without Gerrard or Torres (indeed he won the Champions League without Torres). And you have very very good seats mate. My renewal has just come through. All said and done if I didn't go I think a part of me would feel lost. Hoping for at least a Europa league campaign for next season. At the very least the likes of Henderson need the experience and I want to feel like I'm getting a bit more value for the most expensive buffet I know.
