BBC rights to show premier league highlights will expire end of next season.

Please I hope this never happends... I find ITV fking awful for football, not saying BBC get it bang on all the time, but they're just better than ITV.

Do you really want to hear Andy Townsend commentate when your watching the highlights of your team?....

It'd be nice to let the viewers decide. I'd predict a landslide BBC win.

Adrian Chiles hosting. God help us.

I do think BBC made a mistake getting rid of Colin Murray as I personally really liked him. Far better than when Gabby Logan does it.

Also, could Sky and BT Sport not bid for this or does it need to be on terrestrial television?

Sky and BT would rather have live matches than just a highlights package. The BBC can't justify a live package and as it stands Sky have a game playing at around 8pm and then Match Choice with all that days games available to watch in full. I can't see the benefit to Sky or BT Sport for a 'MOTD' highlights package.
