Bonkers. He had a bad game but would still be comfortably one of the best players in the Prem and would score 25 goals a season.

Well, that's not exactly something to brag about.

Ronaldo didn't turn up and could trap the ball further than I can pass it, but as per usual it all became about him and his penalty.

Ego gone mad.
he hasnt looked properly fit for a few weeks.

He's allowed a bad game, madrid would not have been near the final without him ,and portugal wouldnt be near the euros without him.

I corrected your reply.
are you seriously suggesting Ronaldo is no longer a great player?

I don't like him but he has incredible talent

(Torres was also awesome at AM part 1 and Liverpool - ask Vidic)

The same awful Torres that tore Uniteds bum hole on more than one occasion whilst playing for Liverpool?

I'm surprised by neither really. Mata could be brilliant but sometimes looks out of controls and loses the ball too easily, can't fault his efforts though.
Personally, I cant stand Blind. Whilst he seems to have improved a lot this season, and whilst it is hard to separate his performance from Van Goolies negative tactics, there were lots of times when he should have been subbed off for awful decision making and massive errors. For me he was always second rate and an example of nepotism in action. Now that his Dad's mate has gone, he'd be very exposed IMO.

I think Blind played well alongside Smalling and gave us a ball playing centre half. Yes prone to the odd mistake but he provides alot of cover across the back line, and i'd prefer him over Rojo.

I liked Mata as well, but he is a luxury player which Mourinho wont want. He has upped his defensive work, but he is a little too slow in the midfield.

Blind was one of our better players last season despite being played out of position.
He would be a very useful utility player if not deemed a starter ,play across the back or midfield so it would be a shame.
Mata ,probably the most likeable player in the premiership but he's just not jose's cup of tea ,shame he never got a run in the number ten role with some pace around him.

I reckon it's guesswork. Mata is purely historical but Blind is unbelievably a decent player. Why doesn't Mourinho loan him out and buy a £65m 37 year old replacement instead?

Anyone who saw United live would know Blind was the fulcrum of the team. He was always the outlet, and unfortunately for LVG, was our playmaker. A mate of mine went to the cup final, not having watched United live for a while. He was very surprised at the role Blind plays in the team.

I thought he was excellent given he was played out of position. He's not the biggest of players, and to play at centre half in the EPL, and be one of our best players of the season is testament to his versatility. A very intelligent, calm footballer's footballer.

It would be a surprise indeed if Blind left, and a shame. Echo the above - he is an intelligent player who can play in a number of positions, seems daft to allow him to leave even if a CB comes in.

According to Paddy Crerand Carrick has also signed a new deal, so maybe the numbers game counts against Daley a little. Mostly speculation though, wouldn't believe it until I saw it.

That's the one. The exact same player, who plays exactly the same as he did 10 years ago and hasn't aged, or had a poor spell at Chelsea since then rolleyes

If they are picking Carrick over Blind then they have been drinking more than Crerand. Glaciers have more of a turn of pace, which let's be fair is what a player in that position requires.

Agreed. Carrick should hang up his boots.
