I think Jose is thinking thats the player I want now go and get him what ever the costs. We have the cash and yes its extreme but thats the issue the premier league has. Also there is only a handful of clubs out there that can afford those kind of transfer fees outside the prem.

PSG, Real, Barca, Juve and Bayern. Outside of that no-one can afford it. Its a closed market for most of these players with limited clubs. If players want them then you pays your money.

Someone did put this in perspective and said the the amount of money the club makes at the moment if we buy Pogba, its similar to when we bought Rio for 30m in terms of outlay vs revenue.
Yes , this is of course true.

Strange how it goes isn't it, i guess the city fans are now entitled to say that it is now united trying to buy the league.. again.

The key part they're missing is it's money the club generates itself rather than winning the oil lottery.

Love that they try the Mourinho not liking youth angle yet the 3 mentioned most people thought would be off anyway and he's bought(buying) 2 young players in Bailly and Pogba and taken TFM, Pereira and Axel on tour

It's a shame the friendly with Dortmund was cancelled. I was looking forward to that. Nevermind eh!

I've forked out 7 quid for a month of MUTV so I could watch these friendlies and thought I was getting a bargain. The City match had better be good!
This Mourinho seems bloody clueless to me. A proper team should keep possession more...

Did you actually just say Mourinho looks clueless? After two pre season friendlies and hes getting the squad back in dribs and drabs after a european championship? Wow.

Apparently Juventus have agreed a €90m deal for Higuain. I wonder where they could have got the money : scratchchin:

Don't worry, it's just a pre-season friendly...

4-1 is quit a difference, isn't it?

I bet the special one is just familiarising himself with his new environment...

And I think we can conclude he isn't quit there yet hehe

Must be said though; impressed with the BvB, they've got a very good squad, bought some good players (for not too much money) and Tuchel is a very good and intelligent coach.

Just the difference between a knock out stage Cl and an EL squad.
