With the prices being bandied around at the moment, I do wonder what Ronaldo would sell for now were he 25/26 years old.

£300 million?

Clearly i'm just pondering.

I think Neymar has a £180m release clause, so maybe same for Ronaldo at that age?

The fact the Ed Woodward is now in China suggests to me that a deal has already been completed smile

Mourinho:

"The Manchester United manager said beforehand the priority was for his new team to start the process of gelling, with zero focus on the opposition"

“At the moment the engines are completely different. Formula 1 against Formula 3. They are much sharper and you can see that easily, so it’s difficult to judge my players.”

“After 10 minutes we know that one team started training 10 days ago and played one match, and the other team started one month ago and played already four games,” he said. “It’s so easy to see the difference of intensity and sharpness. For us it was very difficult.”

Interesting to note that the Bundesliga starts at the 26st of august while the premier league already starts on the 13th of august, with ManU playing their first match on the 14th.
Nothing you say is interesting to note.
With less than 2 weeks to go to the first official match of the season and ManU having played only 2 practice matches of which zero with their first 11, I'd say that's pretty interesting.

I agree with the dhead.

Utd look like they are well behind in preparations for the new season. Trip to China was a classic case of putting commercial revenues ahead of on-pitch success.

Must admit, it's all seemed a bit pointless and has been done to improve revenues etc out in the far east which has in actual fact been at the detriment of the players!

they might need some of those revenues if they are going to spend 100m+ on pogba!

I'm becoming increasingly concerned with our lack of pre season so far. I hope it's just the media trying to make something out of nothing as there's nothing major going on.

I can understand Martial but not Ibra tbh, he's had plenty of time off since getting knocked out of the Euros. I've no doubt he's keeping fit etc but needs to get to know the other players, staff etc...

He's an elder statesman and needs a longer rest than the kids.

The Manager made it clear that each player had a tailored programme for fitness dictating when they had to return.

Very few of them seem to turn up ruined pre season these day's

There is a massive difference between "not ruined" and match fit.

It will be hard to fit in enough hard training between now and the start of the season. Train too hard and they go into the first game tired; fail to train hard enough and they go in unfit.

It is a bit of a cock up, in my opinion.

Same for a lot of these big clubs with players who played in the Copa and Euro at different stages, trying to fit in R&R, arrange matches/tours etc. It is what it is, we've just got to suck it up and get on with it. Not playing City isn't massively detrimental as we've still got other games and possibly some behind closed doors matches to play.

There is, but many teams who used to start their season in July with the Intertoto Cup used to start the PL season match for amd destroy everyone, only to fall away badly in March when they started to tire. All teams will be below match fitness when the season starts.

So basically he is allowed to take the number of your best young start, turn up for training after others who played at the Euros wink, crikey season has not even started yet....Wonder if other senior players who went to the Euros and were made to come back are a little bit miffed ??

Really excited about the possible Pogba signing we've heard the odd rumour about smile
Pains me to say it but I think if we can't get him for £100m including any agents fee, we need to put a couple of days deadline on the bid then let it go. We really need to strengthen in midfield and with each passing day there's the chance that any other possible targets could be gone frown This could drag out until the last day at this rate and then we may be playing Rooney in midfield again!
