Good to see RVP score and the reception it got.
Indeed, great reception by United. clap

Shame he's nowhere near the RvP he ones was. United's EPL win was his last good season. Some players age well (Ibrahimovic, Pirlo, Maldini) others degrade to mediocrity almost instantaneously, RvP and Kluivert to name a few.

There seems to be a strange stty smell in here all of a sudden.

I can't think what it might be.
Such a shame, just when I thought realism has returned to United.

My prediction - 63% possession to United, 13 goal attempts, 7 on target.

3-1 to United.

Enjoyed tonight. There was almost no atmosphere which was a shame but I guess not unexpected. Good to despatch a lesser team for once.

We had at least 2 fantastic opportunities for goals which took two Worldly saves to keep out. We then had another 3 or 4 chances that were ruled marginally offside or took last ditch tackles to stop. Against such a heavily defended game I don't think that's a bad number of chances to have.

I think "blame" is shared. Personally I wouldnt be happy that if my team had decided just to park the bus, but at the same time it's frustrating not to be able to make it past that bismuth
Wow. I can't tell if you're joking around or you actually just have no understanding of football?

You created absolutely fk all! A 30 yard pot shot and a deflected run and weak shot over 90 minutes is poor from a team bang in form. Surely it was obvious that that was how we were going to set up all along? I certainly would be raging at United had it been the other way round.

Thought that was a decent night all round, only downside was Mikhi still not getting any game time - not sure what's going on there...All in all though a good confidence builder, a run out for some of the squad and a result that means we can hopefully give a couple of players a rest in one or more of the remaining Europe games coming up. Job done.

Fener weren't up to much it has to be said, but the latter two goals we scored were real quality. A nice reminder from Carrick to Jose that he ain't done yet too.

Was impressed by TFM's cameo in midfield after coming on for Pogba. Admittedly it was a dead rubber by then, but he put himself around well and showed some real pace too. Probably his place in the team in the future I'd imagine.

Did he come out and say he is nowhere near match fit? he needs to play some u23 games by the sound of it to get his fitness

In the presser pre match he said he was fully fit, but have just seen this morning now something along the lines of he has to get back some intensity and earn his place in the team. Sounds fair enough, probably some U-23 would be a good start yeah. Would have thought a sub appearance last night might help, but then he's saying to someone else they have to miss out (TFM, Depay) so I guess JM is just trying to keep everyone happy.

Fingers crossed we see him in action soon.

Agreed, I think the lads got so much ability but he's quickly becoming the forgotten man, needs a good game under his belt. Maybe he'll feature on Sunday from the bench?

He said he was fit but not match fit...to get match fit he needs to play games where him not being fit doesn't effect you ? ie u23's

Ah, I must have misheard then. Coming on as a sub in an already won game would probably have counted to that fitness without affecting us, but oh well. Like I said, got to keep everyone happy though so as long as he isn't knackered again or gone off in a strop smile.

Be surprised if he plays a part on Sunday if not last night, but maybe he is good at parking the bus wink.

So will the Chelsea fans boo JM ?
I don't think he deserves to be treated badly at all.

We all know that some fans in the minority may well do so. Of course he doesn't really deserve to be booed but it may happen I guess.

Looks like the team will set up the same as at Liverpool.

Should be a thriller.
