I was surprised to see the team, but I think Jose knows he can't lose many more games. Although not the trophy Man Utd want to be fighting for it will buy him a little slack.

Home to West Ham.
We'll be looking for a little on-the-pitch revenge eh?
Off the pitch there's some just acting like dheads at the moment.
Will all those heroes travel if by some miracle they qualify for a European comp and they play in Russia?

I have been saying for a long time that Herrera would be one of the first names on the teamsheet for me. There is very little wrong with his game, and he works bloody hard. He and Mata also link up extremely well.

Given how poorly Rooney and Ibra have played recently, I cannot see any argument for not building our attack around Mata. Let him dictate the play and give him some pace to work with.

Schneidy/Carrick/Fellaini
Herrera
Pogba
Mata

Rashford
Martial

No natural width whatsoever, but we cannot cross anyway, so that doesnt matter a huge amount. Rashford and Martial can move out wide as much as they like as long as one of them remains in the centre.

The brutal reality is that we need 3 CMs to deal with any remotely good side, and adding Mata to that means 4 CM/AM. That leaves no real room for wingers.

I was on holiday (although I did manage to watch a very poor Utd side draw against the Amazing Best Ever Bound to Win the League Liverpool side).

Everyone is terrible again this season aside from City (in fits and starts).

Looks like it was a classic Mourinho story - make the story about him and take the press away from the team.

Well played if so.

Blinkers?

There is no team that looks good in both defence and attack.

Chelsea - fairly average (despite spanking Utd).
Utd - fairly average.
City - good in attack; average in defence.
Liverpool - good in attack; bad in defence.
Arsenal - same as always.

Slightly blinkered yes. You're average in defence with 12 goals conceded, City are average in defence with 9 goals conceded and yet we are bad in defence, with 11 goals conceded.

Since Matip came in too we are 2nd to only Spurs.... in the games he has started. (goals conceded)

if was a betting man ,my money would unfortunately go on the scousers.Leicester showed the value of no european games and the ability to pick a stable team .Their defence is crap but so are most other teams.Critically though they play as a team .
city should win it,but then they should have won it the last 6 years. The press got carried away with a 1/2 hour performance against a united team that effectively was playing with 8 men..rooney,lingarrd and micky all forgot to turn up.
Arsenal will do well as well,I think.

Spurs

Last year, second best attack in the league and the best defence

this year, easily the best defence in the league and despite missing our best striker only 4 teams have scored more
