Theres not one team in the perm that has not done their conkers on a certain player , that's just the the way it is.
The Spuds are just about to to lose a bucket load on Soldado , just the way it goes .
The key difference is that you'll shrug your shoulders and move on, whereas the Scousers will gloat about it for months amd conveniently forget that they've done the same. The Spuds are just about to to lose a bucket load on Soldado , just the way it goes .
There is an assumption that they're not all either queueing near at the Town Hall with the half mast flag waiting to sign the book of condolence, or hanging around the (fake) Cavern Club trying to get on TV by pretending to have known "our Cilla".

Giggs, Ronaldo, Cantona will be the stories I bore my grandkids to death with. Just like my dad and granddad did with me and their stories of Charlton, Best, Edwards etc. Edited by LoonR1 on Tuesday 4th August 08:55
I wonder whether some of the strangest transfers involve a fair bit of corruption. Bribed scouts, etc. You really can't explain them on the basis that every person involved was going his job honestly and diligently.
What did anyone see in Bebe? Sunday league player. The Djembas weren't much better.

We where always going to loose money on AdM. He was one of the best players at Real when we signed him, had a mixed start, lost form, house got burgled and then wasn't interested.
PSG always had the upper hand as United wanted to sell and PSG new he had a bad season. Always going to loose a few quid. £15m in today's money with the extra Sky deal, and the new Adidas deal is nothing.
Liverpool fans tend to forgot they spent 10m on Borini, and 16m on Balotelli to just sit on the bench and now they cannot get rid for love nor money, and 20m on Lovern who looked like a Sunday league CB who was eventually benched for his own good.

A loss is a loss however its caused, we paid 59, we get back 44. We do seem to be quite good at pissing money up the wall these days - good job we seem to have plenty of it!
I am betting that we won't see any more signings except MAYBE Pedro in & DDG out the door at the last minute for not enough cash with neither Bale or Ramos coming the other way. (At which point we will have been stuffed by Perez yet again )
Of course a loss is a loss. But it's a bit superficial banding around a headline figure without understanding the underlying facts. The euro loss is relatively small. The flip side is that a lot of United's revenue is sterling which means we can buy more Euro assets for our £ than a year ago. 15m fee? 260k a week? 6 injuries in 2 years, could be risky one?

Our signing Schweinsteiger has really got under your skin hasn't it? Get over it, we'll find out in the next couple of months how he starts and that should be a reasonable idea of how he's likely to get on in the medium / longer term. 15m fee? 260k a week? 6 injuries in 2 years, could be risky one?

You never shut up about him. Come on, there must be something for you to discuss on your thread. I've heard Southampton have another couple of players left, so you should get bidding.
Love that they raided Southampton and missed their best player leaving him for us to snap upGassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
