It makes sense. Neymar is just a smokescreen.

Don't get too teary eyed about us missing/opting out of Pedro - look at the timeline of ADM arriving and then departing.....

I would much rather have somebody who can sustain a few seasons in the EPL.

We have never ever been close to signing Reus - that would be just play ground idiots saying who they wanted - much like you guys are doing with Ramos, Muller, Neymar

I am only please as Pedro looks exactly like what you needed , I think you are closer to us than Chelsea smile

I think we need a goalscorer out and out number 9. Pedro would have been good but we have options out wide and in the number 10 role.

For me someone that fills the role RVP did when he came to united. Led the line and his goals won the premierleague.

Ideally I would have loved it if Falcao could have found that form last year as he could have been amazing.

I agree all this talk of Neymar, Bale and Muller is ridiculous.
They've got more chance of signing George Best at the minute.

Not sure I agree with the route LVG has taken with DDG, I have to agree with Gary Neville, it's been handled poorly.

Not when it's bks, realistic targets who could improve us then fair enough. But these Neymar and Muller stories are boring.

Indeed ,some seem to prefer the transfer window to the football season .

Anyway there is a reason for us pulling out of pedro , not sure why or whom but I think we'll get clarification soon.

I think the person handling it worst is DDG. If he wants to go just say it and hand in a transfer request. If you're going then get on with it and go. Stop dicking around.

yes

It's about time we stood firm on a transfer to Real, want our player, pay the fking money or you can wait. They'll get him eventually but why make it easy for them.

The problem is, you hold very little leverage, considering he's in the last year of his contract. Either you get a bit of money this summer, or, more likely, he leaves next summer, you guys get nothing and he gets a (rumoured) massive £12m signing on fee.

Which is fair enough and no ones disputing it.

But if he wants to go, why not say instead of being a pussy about it? He's not going to be popular either way but he might get a bit more respect for some honesty.

Yeah but we also get 12 months to bed in Romero/find a.n.other but mainly we fk with his plans and we fk with their plans. They are offering something like 17m, we can afford to take that hit and it sends a message to the player and buying clubs for future.

The mistake on our part was letting his contract get so short, something I am sure we will learn from, but if Real had made a decent offer to start with or he had forgone his money in bonuses (assume that's why no TR) then this could be done by now, they both want their cake and to eat it, fk em

I don't blame Utd for letting him run down his contract. It's not like they won't have been offering extensions. He must have strung them along with promises of 'wait till the summer' or whatever and then done the dirty when it was too late for us to get decent money for him.

I called him a rat a couple of weeks ago and stand by that.
