Utd just released a statement re the DDG debacle putting our side of the story forward.
If true, Real look like they fked up and made their first bid at lunchtime yesterday.
The club is delighted that DDG remains a Utd player.

The last line of our statement is perfection
"Manchester United acts appropriately and efficiently in its transfer dealings. The club is delighted that its fan-favourite double Player of the Year, David de Gea, remains a Manchester United player."
Hope he goes back into the team and gets his head down. Ideally we'd get him to sign a new contract with a sensible release clause or start discussions with Athletico for a swap deal with Oblak

Lots of scrolling past posts taking digs at our transfer fees tonight. I honestly don't give a turd if we pay £10m or £36m for the lad. Net spend leagues win you nothing, we can afford the fee, end of story.
The statement regarding De Gea is a good read as well... especially the last bit.

Didnt know he had signed tbh but lets face it, means nothing in realiaty bar you pay a bit more for the player as he has a longer contract - He came out and said he can go for around 50million Euro
If you had big 55/60million Euro he would now be at your club surely? at represent far less of a risk ?
His new contract puts him on about 56k a week, you would surely have been putting someone like him on 150k a week - he would have swam here for that payrise
I am not mocking the Martial transfer, obviously a lot of talent there but you just seemed to be crying out for a goalscorert and he does not seem that and Lacazette would have been a more obvious choice? or maybe Berhino with Martial?
What do you think will happen if Rooney is injured? can you see him going up front on his own? or will Fellani be number 2?
Oh my God guys, I just realised something! We've only 1 recognised striker in our squad (and even he's not a striker)!
Omg, omg, omg my hands are sore from all the wringing I've been doing but I've bravely typed this for you my fellow United fans because you probably weren't aware.
Oh, woe is me, relegation beckons etc et fking cetera....
United will probably be top 4 again this season.
United will almost certainly finish above such fantastically well equipped squads such as Liverpool and Spurs.
Next year, or maybe in the January window, United will sign a striker if still required.

Martial has been given the No9 shirt, I'm gonna let you take a guess on which position he plays

It's mental isnt it, almost like as Utd fans we have no clue who is and isnt in our squad. The revisionism on Falcao is a delight as well.

Must be true, I heard it on Talksport. Their French "expert" mentioned it yesterday. He also said that no one in France can understand how United came up with the valuation.ETA: A quick google.
