Ronnie was a great player for us and seems odd to say it about a player who is now one of the best in the world, but I'd rather watch Eric any day of the week.
Also for me, Ince was brilliant. Keane was always in Ince's shadow when they played together. I remember Ince being the catalyst to so many strong performances. Robson would also have been one of the very best, but he mainly played in a st side.

Cantona was sheer class but not on the same level as Ronaldo. I think he's easily the best Utd player that I have seen. And I would have Scholes or Giggs or Keano in second place, I think. In his prime, Keano seemed to be able to win a game simply by wanting it more than anyone else, and Scholes was utter and absurd class for years.
Cantona was not just a player, though - like Keano he was a force in the team, an inspiration. Scholes and Giggs never really had that. Ronaldo carried the team for a couple of years.
I'll never forget watching a game when the ball was loose and running harmlessly out to touch, everyone stopped, barring Keano. He sprinted, chased it down, kept it in and passed it to Scholes (the only other player alive to the possibility) and we scored.Cantona was not just a player, though - like Keano he was a force in the team, an inspiration. We were so lucky to see those guys.

How come LVG doesn't get the criticism Moyes got when they have the same win record and he has spent 1/4 of a billion ££££££s?
Moyes took us out of the CL, LvG got us back inMoyes would have been given more time if he'd just kept his mouth shut as well, telling Utd fans that Liverpool came to OT and favourites and we needed to aspire to be like City was the death knell
middle

1.

"the early and middle part of life"

"the middle point between two extremes"
If it helps, that would 10 1/2 place in the EPL.....

Think it's about time I ate little humble pie with regard to Chris Smalling - he's turning into a decent central defender now he's getting a few games in succession. I was firmly in the 'he's not good enough ' camp until this season. Hope I've not cursed him for Saturday!
Looking forward to it and hopefully our new boy Memphis will have a bit of confidence back after his break.
I predict a 3-1 win with us totally dominating due to our recently improved midfield, what about you guys?

That's two of us. He was excellent for England, but then it's not the first time he's played well for his country. Lets hope he brings his Man of the Match pride with him this weekend.Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
