Smalling has been good for a while now, it's just fans of other teams don't see it and like to slate him. They're coming round now (slowly).

Read my comment in the context of the quote and you will find that your question is superfluous. HTH

LVG also calling the Martial fee ridiculous. He's also saying he was bought for the next manager.

Rooney isn't a striker. He's a number 10. He'll do a job as a number 9 but no more than that.

LvG has lost the plot as regards strikers.

BBC reporting we've opened talks with De Gea regarding an extension.

..to his tiny rat penis.

In seriousness, given his complete lack of ethical sense, I would expect him to sign a new contract, pocket the signing on fee and then look blankly at Real when they say 'Now we have to pay Utd more for you! And you didn't even want to play for them!'. If he plays along, it will be funny because it's a stitch up of Real (who always behave terribly in transfers), but it will just confirm what I think of this guy.

None of that makes even the remotest sense.

He won't be fking over who he wants to join.

The minute real fked him over made it highly likely he would sign a new deal.

he just needs to get rid of that girlfriend . I would gladly take her off his hands as part of my utter devotion to United .

If they want him (and they do), they will pay whatever they have to and will just suck it up that he screwed them over.

I expect him to sign a new deal and then go in the summer. He will be told (in more subtle and pleasant terms) "Rot in the reserves until January or play for us all year and have these million pounds to cheer you up".

Do you not think th emits likely scenario is that he is pissed off with real, they promise they will sign him,but then leave it until the last minute and fk it up ? I think they flicked 2 vs at David and he didn't like it ?

Nah.

His desire to go to Real will make him blind to all that. Imagine what his gf is saying - "I dont care. We are going to Madrid."

There's no way United will let this top 5 world keeper rot in the reserves, lets be fair here he more or less got you champions league football last season with his outstanding performances.

Will be interesting to see if DDG can resist a huge pay rise or just wait till he get his dream move in the summer,

More man management expertise is going to fall on LVG's shoulders it seems.

What are you guys smoking? What lack of ethical sense?

And so what about £3m. Haven't Real said he can have a £12m signing on fee if he doesn't sign a new contract? Ultimately Real stand to save themselves ~£30m, of which I'm sure they'd be much happier to share with DDG rather than see him sign a new contract and have to pay you more.

Who mentioned £3m jammy? If he signed a contract in the region of £200k p/w, he's apparently on £50k p/w at the moment, over the first year he's going to make a hefty sum compared to if he doesn't sign. That's if you believe Real Madrid are going to give a goalkeeper £12m just like that.

The £12m signing on fee is pure fiction. Utterly implausible. Even football clubs dont give away money for literally no reason. He would sign for Real for nothing, so throwing £12m down a pit aint gonna happen.

Huh?

Scenario 1:
DDG signs new contract with Utd, Real have to pay over £30m next summer.

Scenario 2:
DDG doesn't sign new contract with Utd, Real pay DDG £12m signing on fee and keep £18m in their pocket.

How is that a football club giving away money for no reason?
