I think as a form of entertainment we were spoiled under fergy because he was a huge gambler. No incoming manager can afford to gamble like he did.He built up a legacy and reputation to such an extent that he was untouchable and could indulge in his gambling without fear,if we finished out of the top four he wouldn't be sacked .
No new manager gets that privilege,United are a business ,they have to finish in the top 4 ,managers cannot afford not too.

As for stats, far too easy to misinterpret .We had 2 shots on goal vs west brom, but we had 15 attempts.City had 10 attempts vs Aston villa ,are they dull ? when teams have actually had a go at us we've had some very good games,Southampton,Everton etc .
Stop just trying to analyse one game. That's how stats are misinterpreted.

Overall this season, we have averaged 10 attempts per game, 14 against WBA. 10 is the lowest for at least 15 years. And we are in the bottom 5 for attempts on goal, less attempts than Villa, the bottom club.

City, if you want to use them as an example, have averaged 18 attempts - which is broadly our average in the last 3 Fergie seasons.

We can debate whether it is effective or the right way to play all day long, but is it boring? Hell yes, and that's backed up by the amount of sideways and backward passes and lack of goal attempts. No one used to call United boring, and now most people do.

Yes attacking wise we look dull and it certainly needs work, but the dutch way is posession football and keeping the ball.
Sorry for my ignor(e)ance, see Bayern and Barcelona for posession football 2015, see their respective players and compare that with ManU's line-up.

But hey, given the loon'acy of the PL TV righs money that will sort itself out over time.

I agree. We have the personal to play keep ball, we just struggle to turn keep ball into goals. Hopefully given another couple of transfer windows that will change.

We have the players to create a lot more chances.

Martial
Lingard Mata Memphis
Carrick Herrera

I cant see that front 6 line-up failing to score plenty of goals if played together for a few games in a row.

Two things

Will they get played together?

If they do what will be the management instructions?

Schweinsteiger has asked fans to be patient with LVG's possession philosophy. He said it should come good as it did at Bayern once the players understand what's required.

(1) No.
(2) Pass sideways until the opposition get tired / bored / go home.

But that may change over time.

That's the first time I've ever seen a barrister give a straight answer to a straight question. Then you've done it twice in succession. I'm in shock smile

I'm talking about the reaction to specific games hence the use of the stats is applicable and not misinterpreted.
The point was that breaking down a team that plays so defensive is not easy.for the stats you provide to mean anything in this context we would have to analyze game by game whether a team was Parking the bus or not.

We are boring as hell at the moment ,no one in their right mind can dispute that.

I ask many, many simple questions around insurance matters with our barristers and solicitors and never, ever get a simple response.

Simple is different from easy. Often the simplest questions are the hardest to answer.

This is not to say that your solicitors and barristers might not be crap and/or lazy and/or temperamentally disinclined to giving straightforward answers. A lot of lawyers are one or more of these things, in my experience.

Fully understand the distinction. I use it a lot when trying to work out how to restructure business operations to fix a load of st.

It's all about the system and therefore who's running off him to allow those passes - look at Sterling's decline at Liverpool post-Suarez for example.
Our guys are shackled at the moment.

Excellent. Two scousers worrying about our on loan players as they have no concerns about their team anymore, due to Klopp having fixed everything and won them all 5 cups already this season.

Janujaz is utter class (or at least had that potential). He needs game time and for a manager to tolerate the bad performances that a player of his type will always throw in. Imagine if he had played all the games Rooney or Mata have this season! He would have been bound to produce a lot of good performances amongst a few bad ones.
